RMweb Premium Trainshed Terry Posted February 22, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 22, 2013 I heard a many tail about this book, but I was always told that it was never printed. But Having Flipped through March issue of "Railways Illustrated" I saw this in the advert. Could not believe my eyes so had to check the web site just to be sure. http://www.ianallanpublishing.com/new-releases/an-historical-survey-of-selected-great-western-stations-volume-four-layouts-and-.htm I shall be ordering a copy some time Terry
edcayton
After many years of searching i found a s/h copy of this "mythical" book last year. You may prefer £16 from Amazon then :-) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Historical-Selected-Western-Stations-Illustrations/dp/0860936562/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1361531105&sr=1-1 The old tax dodgers (sorry, 'evaders') won't let you down. Always worth trying them first. David

RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted February 22, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 22, 2013 The 4 volumes all come up from time to time on Amazon and at various S/H booksellers. I knew that a reprint was on the way but not that it was going to be in paperback. That does look like a mistake.
BG John
My hardback edition was £19.95 in 1985 (probably less my local club's discount). There's been a bit of inflation since then, so it looks like a bargain!
