brossard
I think this kit was originally part of the Chivers range. I believe that the range was split and that the plastic kits (of which I have several) are still under the Chivers name. I bought two of these kits from an estate sale eons ago and they remained unbuilt for many years. They must have been originally produced getting on for 30 years ago. I finally did build mine and they turned out very well. Here's one of mine: Things may have changed over the years, but I recall that the kit did not come with any brake or underframe detail. If you compare the pictures from the site and mine you will notice the brake gear. Having a bit of a fetish for brake gear, I fashioned a representation for mine using the excellent frets from Mainly Trains: http://www.mainlytrains.co.uk/acatalog/exp_mt234.htm http://www.mainlytrains.co.uk/acatalog/exp_mt230.htm Here's a picture of the underside: BTW I decided to depict mine as through piped.
