Removed a/c
We used to paint David Winter cottages back in the early 80s.
allan downes
Fisherman's Cove ( that took some coming up with !) The first cottage. The first picture is what inspired it, a Jane Hart miniature masterpiece for Danbury Mint. As is common practice in the Downes workshop, my model of it in 7mm won't look anything like it but you already knew that didn't you ! Cheers. bluebottle
No real reason why I should be surprised by the evidence in the photo, but I shall now think of Allan as the left-handed gun Stanley knife! Sweven
Allan, those steps are outrageously good and I like the diagonal match-boarding and the simple pedestals below the windows . When first married we painted our bathroom walls that Kermit colour. Several years later (long after we had sold the house) we had the opportunity to go back into it - the only thing that had changed at all was the colour of those bathroom walls. RMweb Premium The White Rabbit Posted November 18, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 18, 2015 Shouldn't that be, "He be sleeping wi' the fishes"? Looking at the photos, I'm reminded of several seaside towns like this scene which have an old anchor and/or cannon strategically placed on the seafront...

islandbridgejct
Reminds me very much of Chufnell Regis. Perhaps a Punch and Judy show on the beach, an American millionaire and his daughter, or Old Bogey stalking around the corner? You're not making this for a Mr Wooster, are you?

Cheesecloth, muslin, net curtains, nope, no good but - fishnet tights ? Perfect. But get the finest weave otherwise the fish will escape ! When all. is in place will take some final photos. Got the boats, got the tights, now waiting for the people.Meanwhile, we're well on the way with fishing village number two. Cheers. Allan.
