RMweb Premium newbryford Posted June 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 26, 2013 Model Rail Show at: St Mary's Centre, Church St, Clitheroe, Lancs, BB7 2DG Hosted by Blackburn & East Lancs Model Railway Society This show is intended as a friendly "open day" style event in addition to our more formal exhibition at Hyndburn Sports Centre in September. Clitheroe is an ideal town for a day out where the family can browse the shops, whilst the modeller pays a visit to our show! The venue is less than two minutes walk from the centre of town. Club and member's layouts (including "New Bryford") will be on display with 3-4 specialist traders and demonstrators Confirmed are: DC Kits & Videos, Penketh Models Model Roads & Tramways Todmorden Model Supplies Light Refreshments will be available More details at www.belmrs.org and click on the link to the Clitheroe Show. Jeremy Davison Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 I took my younger daughter to the last hour of the show yesterday and enjoyed the experience of a small but very friendly show. New Bryford looked good and we were especially taken by the narrow gauge layout created within a lunch box! I was tempted by a few traders but managed to resist. (At least I've now seen one of the new 'sugarcube' speakers - on the DC Kits & Videos stand). I hope that today is also successful for the BELMRS. We had a good number of families visiting, no doubt spurred on by free accompanied children.... Food for thought for exhibitions that haven't already gone down that route. Sunday was also a good day.
