RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted July 14, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 14, 2013 Can anyone lead me to a photo of the outside framed siphon g [Hornby/Airfix] to help with the location of the shirtbutton logo please.I'm rebranding from the large letter G W version.A lot of photos have these vehicles as filthy and the preserved ones have the earlier livery. The Russell books can't help with the o/f version. RMweb Gold 57xx Posted July 15, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 15, 2013 Hi Rob, pages 66 and 67 of Slinn & Clarke's "GW Siphons" there are a couple of pictures. The shirtbutton appears to be in a different location on each one (one is very mucky but I'm sure it's the logo) On the clear one, the logo is on the 4th and 5th planks up to the left of the central vertical bracing, under the diagonal brace that runs top right to bottom left on the left of the wagon. The number is on the 2nd plank up on the same panel and the legend Siphon G on the 2nd plank to the right of the central vertical bracing.
