G'day axelcounter,

I have just read the thread, fantastic. :good:

Always good to see family members involved in the layout. Well done to Lisa with the buildings and great to see young Adam getting involved. Your track skills are superb, as also the signals. Looking foward to further posts.

Cheers, Gary.

Yesterday I spent most of the day rebuilding the platforms as they werent good (big gaps) I will be putting pics up later.

The method used were wills flaged sheets and some 60tho plasticard as the flags.

I need to weather it yet but its getting there. I will be continuing the signal tomorrow.

I have not been updating this because i've been a bit busy.

But I have been doing little bits to bucks lane I decided to make the layout a though station rather than a terminus station. The reason was that the sissors crossover was causing a lot of derailments. So I took the crossing out and replaced it with a point and single slip, it looked good until I realised I could'nt get to platform 1 so the decision was done to have a fiddle yard on both ends.

Here is the slip where the crossovers were.

Hi Mark,

Wow! I've not seen this before so, sorry about the flurry of "likes" but you deserve them!

That's some lovely modelling going on there, very nice indeed. Those houses your good lady built are excellent too!

Did you get anywhere with that southern loco you were considering buying at Tim's, last time I saw you over there?

Or was that the L&Y tank? Good job on that btw.

Cheers,

John E.

Ps congratulations are due, yes!

Hi John thanks for the mass of ratings lol.

I never did get one in the end and it was the tank loco I was going to get.

Just sorting out some more pics this time I had been busy buiilding signals for the layout. Here are a few pics of the signalling. I have used brass and ratio signals, and yes they do all work next is making the ground pegs move. Hope you like

The layout changed I did have BL as terminus station but the scissors crossover was one of my early atemps at building points and was causing locos to derail, so after some thought I decided to make a single slip like the one at horrocksford in Clitheroe and put another fiddle yard on after the station. Its more fun now more shunting now.

The only thing is now BL is 26 feet long, so it now stays at the clubroom not my garage and we only meet 2 times a week.

But updates will be put on here as soon as they are done.

We Well Andy I was thinking of making BL roundy and making a shed to fit it but for the time being it will stay as fiddle to fiddle. I will be exhibiting next year at heywood and a few more so I have time to change it lol.

Hmmm now you have me thinking Andy.

Hi mate.

Looking really good although you'll need to lose the facing siding now it's a through station.

How many weeks until nappy time now?
