And what sets this book apart from the others I have are plenty of aerial shots brilliant for modelling.

Around €39, not cheap, but for the money a great book if you're a Harz enthusiast. I got it from Germany on eBay in 4 days well wrapped.

Very pleased with it.

The photo on the cover is vertually the same as one of my photo on my Harz Flickr album. The locos in my photo were the two mallets doubleheaded.

Found another point motor so added a siding for the fire water tank that is stationed at key points on the system in case of stray sparks. It's getting there and hoped tomorrow will see track finished and I can get it wired by the end of the week. Here's hoping ;)

Printed.com printed and sent these in one day! I missed the courier yesterday but they just turned up and as before are spot on.

£59 for 20ft of custom UV stable, wipe clean and self adhesive backscene is ok by me.

Well check the motor is fixed down and it should be fine. I've just ordered the decoders for my two :)

You are welcome to bring it along and test it at a show if it's got a decoder in ;)

Shepton in Feb, Wimborne in March, Rotorail in April, European Rly Association in September. The first two are the extended layout and just Braunlage for the latter two.

I've condensed the trains on the Süd Harz to 6 from the HSB's 'mainline' sets of 8 as I've condensed the stations.

The rear two lines can take a full 8 set if required but give more of an impression of space with the shorter 6 set ;)

Trying out the cobbled surface, I need to put in a filler first though to support the lamps bases.

This won't be seen usually as the camera will be in the backscene ;)

Paul,

What a great job you are doing. Just wish I could get to your first outing, but since Barney arrived I am limited to Local Shows unless I get a Dog sitter. That is a little bit in place but not tested as yet. I think that the 2-10-2's are definately a step up in detail and looks compared to the LGB/Aster offerings as much as I love my two. I always have loved 12mm both in TT form and NG form. TT being my younger day modelling.

I only went HOm because the G version of Brunnenbachs didn't allow any scenic running, you need to build something like Shades of the Harz to do it in G ;)

It will be interesting to see if they cheat like LGB did to make 99 222 and the production batch using the same chassis. It makes sense over tooling a completely new model so I expect that's what they'll do.

I'll try to get more pics and remember to take some video this time.

Sorry photos removed due to Photobucket hosting for this post. If I can find the originals I will repost later.

Tillig say there's a space for the speaker under the circuit board. Ok so how do I get to it? No clues ;)

Ok so the tanks must come off to get the board out . . .

Ever so gently with a small blade it unclips

The front of the tank need a bit of help with resting a finger on the front running plate I used a thumbnail to gently push up and unclip it.

The rear bunker again need careful easing at the sides and then revealed a lip at the rear I could pop it up using a screwdriver.

Ease up the circuit board and . . . A flipping tiny space! The speaker isn't going to fit in there!!!

So back to the top! The speaker is a fraction too tall to sit in the cab so I'm now trying it using the coal as the sound box. Gentle filing off the back of the four tabs to allow the tabs to flex and against the vertical 'step' between the Coal and cab base so the speaker doesn't protrude past the rear tabs and foul the light board.

It sounds good and I've activated the volume control and uncoupling 'shuffle'. I also found there's now a heavy load and coast mode in the function mapping menu on the lokprogrammer so I've switched that on too to see what it does.
