That would be good but then they have the problem of hiding the mechanism.

I like yourself have a couple of Hornby signals which we all agree are over scale but its a starting point and are easy to mechinise. I just don't have enough so I'll have to look around at all the available options.

I hope to be in a position in a few weeks to have wittled down our rolling stock, impulse buys and required track and sell off the surplus to raise funds.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just thought I'd check in. Alas not much modelling if any has been done.

It's really not been our year so far.

Kitchen tap was leaking so replaced that (£80),

showers started dripping so have a replacement cartridge (£90),

car broke down (£65),

motorcycle repair (£205),

washing machine gave up the ghost (£300),

Replaced our sons bed (£200),

And I'm still working on my mums tables.

All in all an expensive start to the year with little to no time modelling. I hope to make some progress over the next month or so once all the DIY jobs have been put to bed.

With everything above theirs been little cash left over so I'll miss Model Rail Scotland again this year. I did clock the Perth show dates which would be nice to see again although I'll need to double check dates as this is usually the Bo'ness diesel gala dates, which I hope to take our boy to.

I hope all that read this have had a better time so far.

That's all for now,

Mark
