Dad's locos flooded

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and girls, OK I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their advice and help here, and in PMs sent :)

I am getting on with the repairs and have obtained a portable layout to take to dads so he can run some of his stuff.

Its also rekindled my own interest.

All the best.

Hi everyone. I am pleased to report that all the locos and stock have now been restored!

Did not lose one item, some have more weathering than originally intended LOL but all in all considering what happened we have come off lightly.

I have been building up a number of videos featuring these locos and would like to share a special one here today given the date but also the play list where you can now find many others.

Regards to all.

Mike

Those locos are a tribute to your dads skill, the standards put me in mind of the models of Guy Williams. To get them back into that condition after the devastating flood must have been quite literally a real labour of love and he must be delighted to have them back.

Congratulations on a wonderful video.

I loved the set up for the camera with son talking to us and encouraging dad to reach back into his memories.

Excellent symmetrical arrangement with the demo layout as the centrepiece and the screen shewing the detail above.

You should be very proud to have created a very personal contribuion to your family's history.
