meanach
20205 is the current super shunter , swapping places with 114. Today's project was to weather the timber / engineers yard office and install lighting. Id already glued it in place over a year ago and then thought hmm , should of put a light in it! It came away from the old platform cattle dock which I made from balsa and plaster cloth, quite easily. Quick drill into the plywood and 30 mins later the guys in the office could see their page 3 much more clearly! 37407 stabled in the yard head shunt ready to take out the loaded ota wagons in the morning. meanach
While we are talking fleets , for those (like me) who like to know what others have operating... 20114 (blue) 20138 (rf ) 20205 ( blue) 26005 (coal) 26023 (blue) 26035 (rf) 47541 (ic) 47636 (ll). That's the operational fleet apart from the tractors. Another 26 currently work in progress but rail freight red stripe . Bass enhanced speaker in between the air tanks . Merc435
That's an impressive fleet of Jock haulage you have. You do of course need an "Oor Wullie" and "Concrete Bob" as these are essentials for the west highland lines.

Ian What makes you say that, Ian? Don't you think the bass enhanced improves the sound sufficiently to make it worthwhile? I'd be interested on hearing your views on the resulting sound. meanach
Hi Ian, Any chance of a pic of the bass enhanced speaker on the 26? It's a project I've been thinking about for a while. Cheers, Dave hi , I grabbed a quick photo earlier of the bass enhanced speaker sitting between the somewhat butchered air tanks! Its not that visible from the side. I'd be interested on hearing your views on the resulting sound. Cheers, Dave They work well inside 20s I think but just don't seem that loud with the 26. I'm guessing its because of the lower frequencies. A well sealed 23mm inside is louder. That does mean making space by replacing the circuit board though. Its ok when you have an electric expert (31130 on here) to hand. Talking to Mr Biffo last week and he says they are working on a solution but us air tank 26 sound lovers seem to be a minority? meanach
My electrical guru came to my aid today , unusually not in his usual capacity as master electrical fettler , but with long awaited station signs! Having tried various oversize down loadable options I was beginning to think Meanach would remain on-ominous !

meanach
There must be a large job on somewhere down the line as 20114 is left in charge to single handedly haul an extremely long rake (for this part of the world) of Dogfish.
