RMweb Premium 47137 Posted June 13, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 13, 2021 A pond near Pleshey, Essex. A hundred yards from here we realised we could not see or hear anything man-made except for some electricity pylons on a distant horizon. This pond is beside one of numerous footpaths and bridleways around Pleshey, there must be dozens of permutations of walks around here. Easy on-street parking in the village. - Richard.

kernowtim
A quick early morning bike ride to the cliffs east of Hayle here in Cornwall, then along the coastal path before heading inland. Most people head for the nearby beaches so this section is usually quiet, with ample free parking! RMweb Gold Market65 Posted June 24, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 24, 2021 On Tuesday I had a walk across Beverley Westwood, with some friends, and took this photo’ of one of the trees. Best regards, Rob.

Phil Traxson
The sunset afterglow silhouettes the hills at 10.30 pm, from my lounge window in Porthmadog. The sun actually sets to the left of the photo, not directly behind those hills, which are almost due North. Phil Traxson
More of Abersoch, "The Warren" beach and Llanbedrog headland. It was the clouds that made this picture for me though. Pity about all the caravans almost on the beach. Yet again with the tide in. Edited September 5, 2021 by Phil Traxson
RMweb Premium 47137 Posted August 1, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 1, 2021 Back at the Middy today, 19 months to the day since my last visit. 19 months without standard gauge preservation, and almost 19 months without any trains at all except some Flirts mentioned elsewhere: One of many nice things about the Middy, it doesn't change very much. I didn't know we had pointwork like this, with a trap within a turnout. - Richard. 7
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted August 4, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 4, 2021 What's not to like about a Cornish fishing village? In this case Mevagissey during mid-July 2021... This caught my attention at The Parish Church of St Peter in the village. Rather nicely done I thought.

RMweb Premium 47137 Posted August 7, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 7, 2021 Sutton Hoo yesterday morning between the showers: This was our first visit since the revamp. The observation tower (where I am standing) went up in September 2019 but is effectively "new" because of the upheaval for the virus. The site was pretty busy with visitors, the overflow car park was getting full when we left, but the area is so big it doesn't seem crowded. A good day out, the National Trust have done a first-class job of the tower, their new visitor centre and the shop/cafe block. - Richard.

I did briefly stop at the site a while ago but with everything locked, some sort of phone-based parking charge system and hectoring signs about pre-booking everywhere, I quickly left again. 1

When we arrived, Sutton Hoo seemed packed. If this happens to you, simply thread your way through the main car park and eventually you come to an overflow car park (no notices for this at all!) with most likely a lot more space in it. We paid on entry, no pre-booking. - Richard.
