Norm81
I know this is a long shot and if anyone knows of a model truck equivalent of rmweb maybe that's a better place to post this, but I'm trying to identify the two lorries in this photo: https://flic.kr/p/b9pBNz I believe the green and red one to the read is a Ford D series, but if anyone could confirm that and identify the "Farmway" one nearer the camera I'd be grateful. Friar Tuck
The Farmway looks like a Seddon Atkinson see https://www.flickr.com/photos/52197579@N07/4837025461/ for same cab but slightly different grille or this one - a 200 model https://www.flickr.com/photos/carrickman/11833655985/in/pool-1106544@N23|carrickman

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted April 24, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 24, 2014 There is a national organisation for truck and lorry modellers >> http://www.grahamsmodels.talktalk.net/nartm.htm To my knowledge there is at least one other member on RMweb. mikeharvey22
On CarCheckUk it comes up as a Seddon Atkinson 200, colour Gold. www.carcheckuk.co.uk I am surprised how many of my old cars going back 50 years still show up on this database. Norm81
Thanks to all. I've had a look and I can't find any models or kits yet, So far best idea is to adapt a langley models 401 kit. Ernie that enlargement is excellent!
Fat Controller
Road Transport Images ( http://www.roadtransportimages.com/ ) also do a 400 series cab. This site will have lots of useful shots:- http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/ Don't be put off by the 'AEC' in the title. Whoever called that colour 'Gold' obviously had problems with colours- I think it should have been something more agricultural.. When did you take that photo, Ernie? We used to be regular visitors to Farmway in the 1980s, mainly for Layer Pellets- I always tried to time my visit to coincide with the arrival of the trip from Tyne Yard.. I've only just scrapped the last of the 'cheap' check shirts I bought there.
Irishswissernie
I think its from the late 1980's to about 1991, unfortunately I have lost most of my records but I did try to make a special effort to cover Hexham a few times before the 'trip' ended. At the time I was extremely diligent in doing Health & Safety Bank inspections when it involved traveling there by train! Most of the yard is now buried under the new Homebase store although the Goods shed survives. The brick stables have been demolished and taken to Beamish Open Air Museum. When the box becomes redundant (if and when the proposed re-signalling scheme ever gets financed) , it would probably be best if that was taken to Beamish as well as it will be an obvious target for vandals in its present secluded position. Work appears to be proceeding on another car park on the north side, adjacent to the old NB Bay, with an entrance to the Newcastle platform. The Booking Office will probably then go as there will be no need to escort Prams, wheelchairs etc across the line.
Catkins
I'll agree with the identification of the two trucks. There is another model truck forum on the web - http://www.truckmodelworld.com/ They (Traplet) also print a magazine each month.
