Moving back to the layout topic.... If you have enough imagination you could justify an linking line going into the ship yards. So much that you could do with this location and the associated industries around the area.

Agree, Down to 8 by 2 feet in space so will most likely be front 8 by 1 feet as layout with rear half as fiddle. I could bolt on another board for a ship yard railhead...

Not much to report on other than been designing the track plan in my head, Irish boats could be a catalyst for traffic but the old Monks ferry layout looks a bit odd for something still open in the 80s. Looking at a cross between Stranraer harbour and the Monks ferry track layout.

Just obtained a 150/1 in original light blue livery, may keep it or use the chassis for the 508 unit project. Track plan coming together. Monks Ferry crammed a fair bit of track into its area of Station limits so having a small servicing point with it being N is not beyond the realms of possibility especially as Mollington Street was closed by this time.

Holyhead is a good example of a port station with sidings and fuel point so some inspiration is taken from there also. Will be popping to Warley with one or two bits on the shopping list including code 40 rail which will help represent the third rail.
