Glorious NSE
Hi all - there will also be a freemo meet in Exeter on Saturday the 3rd January - more info to follow as and when we tie things down, but thought i'd share the date for your diaries! torikoos
Fingers crossed I can attend, but I will know more nearer the time, I tend to know fairly late what my wife has planned. It being close to new year it could mean a day of family visits etc. At this point I also do not know if I'll be able to bring a module, but in any case hope to be available to help operating/dispatching/tea making. I guess leftover mince pies and mulled wine are welcome? :-) Koos
Glorious NSE
Mulled wine may not work due to the venue - but mince pies always welcome.
Northpoint
I'll certainly do my best (depending on other family committments).

RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted July 31, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 31, 2014 Might be able to pop down as I'm long weekend off. Sounds like a good antidote
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted July 31, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 31, 2014 Premier Inn booked for the Friday night! If that's the one at Exeter St Davids there isn't on site parking. You have to park opposite in front of the station. However very handy for the Great Western for good beer or one of best Wetherspoons, The Imperial up the hill a little bit. Northpoint
As far as I know, it's the one at Countess Wear because of the parking (Chris G booked it).
Glorious NSE
Just sent an email to those I know who may be planning to come, if you were, and haven't had it, shoot me a PM and i'll update you...
Northpoint
E-mail received OK, Martyn. The Midlands group is slowly taking shape. We hope to have a first bash in March. It's possible there might be some new modules at least partially completed that might come to Exeter. (you will notice the use of the word "might" - no guarantees as to what might be ready by then...!)
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted October 1, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 1, 2014 Not sure I'll have room for the modules as I might be only there half a day as down and back on the day due to other commitments. Hoping to make it though.
Glorious NSE
Thanks Guys Paul - venue should be easily walkable from Exeter Central if that helps?
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted October 1, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 1, 2014 Ah even better, thanks Martyn.

DanielB
I'd love to attend this, but it's 'a bit' far for me.
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2015 Well another fun modular meet, many thanks to Martyn, Peter, Neil, Mel, the ladies in the kitchen and anyone else who helped organised it. Pictures later when the internet connection is better than in the train.
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2015 First off a view of the layout, again a variety of modules and scenic finishes but it all worked well as a whole. A few electrical glitches occured with the wiring and dcc network but as there were plenty of us it all just allowed more good natured chat and a little ribbing Martyn at work creating job lists, with the clock for passenger schedules overlaid on the webcam live from the US Peter controlling the interlocking tower at the Junction
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2015 Geoff and I worked two trains during the day with a break for lunch. Here's the second job. Starting at Dale Yard we assembled our train keeping out the way as other trains arrived in the yard. Nick's crew waiting for a yard track. Colin's crew enjoying switching their train too
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2015 Leaving Dale we pass through Rockwood, with its passenger station and crossing the road. Switching a couple of cars out at White Rock
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 3, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2015 Waiting for the road at the Junction Switching at Wallingford And the trip reaches it's furthest point at Lloyd where the main switching takes place before working another train back to Dale along the same route. It may seem strange but each train took around an hour an a half to traverse the layout from origin to destination and return to the origin with steady work at each place. Steve-e
Quick bump with layout plan attached... New Year Module Planning.jpg Hi all looks very interesting. On the plan you have some boards that say 4'WU are these walk under boards or is it something else? Cheers Steve
