terry.ecmr
When I added the row of shops at the front of the layout (in front of part of the fiddle yard) they were at right angles to the over-bridge shops already in place. I never got around to linking the two until recently. I created a road works scene, which made its debut at RMWeb Live. Pictures attached. For those interested..... Figures are Monty's (Dart Castings). Compressor is from Model Tech (imported from the US) Glowing Brazier is from GB Models.com via Ebay. A few odds and ends are from Langley. The barriers and supports are scratch-built using metal rod. The signs are scratch-built. The hanging lamps were made using a small square piece of styrene with a semi-circular piece on top. Bent wire for the handles and the lenses were picked out using some circular rings of plastic I had in the 'will come in useful one day' box. SGTBILKO
Great idea and I love the fact that you get to see a cross-section of the hole. "A hole in the ground, so big and sort of round, it was". Brilliant!

Pacific231G
Excellent. That looks really effective (as does everything on Earls Court) . Looking at the video on YouTube because "Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner" it amuses me when people are precious about their own work being used without their permission when it's made up from other people's that they've just used willy nilly. Sauce for the goose and all that?
