GWRLMSLNER
The attached pictures show some signals at Lincoln Central in July 2007. They may be of help in your quest for accurate signal models. John
LNERGE
I thought i'd better have a go at a Ratio signal before i said too much.. Maybe my clumsy great paws should stick to 12 inch to the foot scale. I have attempted to open out the moulding to make it look a bit more like the base in the photo's. I can't paint for toffee.

chaz
I can recommend MSE etchings, which I have used in 7mm for some of my signals.... ....if you can work in brass it would signal (sorry) an end to flimsy and fragile. RMweb Premium uax6 Posted February 14, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) May I suggest the LMS signals book? (the paperback reprint from Noodle books) This gives all sorts of interesting info. I hope you haven't drilled too many holes in the base board, as the bracket signal in the top shot is far too close to the points. It needs to be moved away from the toes and placed several inches back from them.... (my L4 signal protects a set of points and it is almost 1/2 a mile from the toe of the points!) Also it sort of reads (to me at least) that the main route is over the crossover. I'm sure that's not quite the case though. A non-bracketed type might look better, with the sub as a disc on the ground closer to the point it refers to. The second one doesn't look very LMS/BR(M) to me. I can't see what the arms refer to, but it reads to me that the main route is the one going to the right (taller doll). The signals are nicely made mind. Moggs Eye
It's always good to see diesels and semaphores. Most people when they go for a modernist layout plant colour lights. Good work.
