Departmental
I have just bought a s/h example of this loco. It doesn't have any brake gear with it. My question is does any after market manufacturer produce suitable brake gear for this loco?. I have tried Howes who tell me there isn't any spares available for this model anymore. Gordon A
Gibson models produce polythene brake shoe and hangar mouldings for steam locos that may be useable. IIRC the Class 14's had similar size wheels as p57xx pannier tanks. Gordon A Bristol
brian daniels
Have you tried Hattons as it's their release and not a general Heljan release that Howes deal with so they might have some spare ones.
RMweb Premium ColinK Posted January 14, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 14, 2015 Hi, I've not fitted the brake gear on my class 14 yet. Is it best to glue it in place?

GeoffBird
Hallo there! I bought a Class 14 from Hattons some time ago and there were two sets of accessory packs included. If you don't have any luck elesewhere, I could try and find the spare pack and send it to you. Cheers.
