First outing with the flyers for the 2016 show hot of the presses and available for collection at the International  'N' gauge show (TINGS) this weekend at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. If you are visiting call by our stand (GG) and take a look at the prototyping work we have been doing for our new 2mm N fine scale layout of Kineton, a small village station on the SMJ.

Yes ! - We have changed the venue for the 2016 Exhibition. It is being held at Royal Leamington Spa College, Warwick New Road, CV32 5JE following a £12m building programme. The college is centrally located in Leamington Spa, a short walk from the station and all the main facilities and shops the town has to offer.

Here is the location map.

Only 3 weeks to go until we throw open the doors at our new venue in Leamington Spa at the Royal Leamington Spa College on Warwick New Road, CV32 5JE.

If you come by train to Leamington Spa station look out for a college mini bus which will shuttle you round to the exhibition.

If on the train from Coventry then you will pass the site on the left as the train slows for the junction outside the station.

Your Questions Answered.

My wife will be coming with me to the exhibition and would like to know how far the venue is from the main shopping centre of Leamington Spa?

The main shopping street is the Parade which is just a 10 minute walk away. Refer to the map in an earlier post.

Leave the college entrance and turn right walking away from the railway bridge along Warwick New Road. Cross over the road forking right, and carry on straight. The road becomes Regent Street which will bring you the heart of the shopping centre where the Parade crosses at right angles.

New this year - our new venue enables us to introduce the concept of 'Lounges'

We are pleased to be able to offer RMweb members a dedicated 'lounge' facility at our exhibition.

A room within the exhibition space exclusively for members to use as a rest area, you will be able to sign in using your RMweb handle so that other members are aware you are on site. This will enable you to fix up and meet with other members / friends and discuss projects or other topics face to face.

If there is a demand then it might be possible to provide facilities to enable presentations or project details to be displayed on a large screen in the room. WiFi connections to the internet will be available. Anybody interest should e-mail events@lwmrs.co.uk

Surely a larger number of brownie points could be gained by leaving the car in town with Mrs Showgoer and walking to the show? However if you've got the car at the show you can stash more purchases. ;)

New this year - our new venue enables us to introduce the concept of 'Lounges'

Following the inaugural meeting of the Warwickshire and North Oxfordshire area group of the Model Electronic Railway Group (MERG) hosted by Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society we are please to offer all MERG members a dedicated 'lounge' facility at our exhibition.

A room within the exhibition space will be available exclusively for MERG members to use as a rest area and meeting space. We are hoping that you will be able to access the 'Kit Locker' in the room on both days of the show.

But then you will be paying for parking - our hard standing parking will be free of charge. So who needs the exercise of a short walk more? Perhaps Mrs Showgoer will be discouraged from spending if she has to cart her spoils back to the car! But then you might not have to mention the two course roast dinner for £6 to keep her away!

UPDATE NOTICE:

We are very sorry to hear of Pete Llewellyn's poor health and the fact that, due to this, they will not be able to attend our exhibition this coming weekend.

We wish Pete a speedy recovery.

Also, due to unforeseen circumstances, Parrish Paintings will not be attending the Exhibition.

Overall preparations are well in hand for setup starting this Friday.
