black and decker boy
What shoddy reporting. 20 locations considered nationwide for use by CHILTERN railways, really. Can't understand why Edinburgh, Leeds, Norwich were ruled out..... As for the depot, its new build but in the area where the steam depot stood until demolished in the 1970s. Wild Boar Fell
Some quick googling produces the following link showing a map of the proposed depot http://anorakgeek.tumblr.com/image/100902061967 Hope this helps, Wild Boar Fell
caradoc
Agree that the reporting is poor....I would like to see a picture of the 'derelict depot' the BBC thinks exists at Banbury. Nevertheless, it is great to see an old railway site being brought back into operational use.
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted February 24, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 24, 2015 All that's left are the old pits and a few other foundations which were visible a few years ago when the vegetation was cleared.
