That looks like I'll need to rebuild my engine shed scene. So I can start planning what are the overall dimensions please?

This is huge but I’ll measure up next week for you.

About a year ago we moved to an industrial unit and last week we unpacked the last box. We found some parts to our Coal Stage kit which as one of our earliest kits has been updated over the years and parts mostly obsolete. Not wanting to actually throw the parts away, we sifted through and realised we almost had a full kit so getting rid of the chaff and cutting the missing parts between jobs a coal stage is born.

Graham took on the task to build and paint and hand punch an unknowable number of rivets in the water tank. I do know that it took him over 2 and half hours while watching Netflix! Just look at them though. Well worth it.

Will have an update on progress next time.

Also on the workbench is an Engine Shed kit in 4mm. Based on Thaxted this perfectly complements our 4mm Water Tower kit.

Looking good so far. Will have paint on the prototype tomorrow and the first kits will be rolling out early next week to the preorders.

A couple of other commission projects on the workbench this week.

4mm version of the coal stage and look at those rivets on the tank.

Pleased with how this has come out. Plenty of layered brickwork.

Also the first of a series of 4mm GWR signal boxes for a commission but kits will be available before Christmas.

Still prototyping at the moment.

That looks like Wellingborough.

If so is it available in 4mm scale?

I remember as a teenager looking around it when it was in this condition.

Cheers,

Mark

Looking at this, I think we can do this in 4mm. So yes, we will!

Thanks.

That's great news and look forwards to its release.

Looking at the prototype pictures again, it certainly is Wellingborough.

Cheers,

Well we’ve all had colds so not much happening these last few days but we did have a chance to put our sticky slates on the 4mm signal box.

Also a try out of brick window sills which most of these GWR signal boxes had.

Another kit to add to the stable is our 7mm version of a Sand Bin and Furnace building. This one based on the still existing one at Didcot.
