  1. New Newsletter just released from Alan, please see below: It's just a few days until we pack up and head off to the NEC for Model World LIVE! We're really excited to attend this new concept exhibition and we're looking forward to seeing some fantastic modelling on display. We'll be joined on our stand by Jed and Ralph from Up An' At 'Em History who recently helped us produce our new range of RAF figures. If you'd like to be 3D scanned in RAF kit, or railway kit, them come along to stand A16. Our new RAF range features 8 figure packs suitable for the Battle of Britain, D-Day and mid-late european theatre. We'll have stock in a wide variety of scales alongside our Model Railway range. You'll also be able to chat with Dan Evason, our highly recommended figure painter. Dan will be putting some paint on our new range so be sure to check him out and pick up some tips. We thought we'd whet your appetite a little with some prototype images of the new range shown here in 1/72 and 1/48. You'll be able to find Battle of Britain pilots in conversation, WAAFs, ground crew and we'll also be bringing stock of some animals in popular military modelling scales. If you can't make it to the NEC you can also find us at other shows around the UK. Our next events include the following shows: BRM Bristol (Thornbury) May bank holiday sees us at our home show in Thornbury Leisure Centre. We'll be in attendance with a number of new products including J94 crews, Class 25 crews and more. For anyone interested in our RAF range we'll be replenishing stocks and bringing them along with us! Gauge O Guild Summer Show Saturday 1st of June sees us attend the GOG Summer show for the first time and our first O gauge event since before Covid! We'll be in attendance with our 3D scanning booth and a wide range of O gauge products. We'll also be launching a brand new range of bespoke O Gauge Diesel crews to fit Heljan locos such as the new Deltic, Class 25, Class 20, Class 58, Class 52, Class 73 and more.
  2. I apologise for delay in coming back on here to get the newsletter up but please see the below from Alan: It's a time to reflect on our journey and some of the advancements in technology over the years which have shaped how we work as a business. Our biggest achievement has been the purchase of the new instant 3d scanner last year, the date of which strangely coinincided with the anniversary of me leaving my old 9-5 job. An emotional milestone and a long way from starting Modelu in my Mum's garage in Mid-Wales. Modelu would be nothing without our fantastic, loyal customers, the vast majority of whom have been with us right from the very beginning. This weekend's sale promotion is a thank you to you, customers new and old who help us to keep pushing boundaries. Thank you again for your support and custom over the years. Here's to our 10th year for which we are planning a big party - watch this space for more info! Thank you to all the customers new and old that came to say hello at Ally Pally! It was great to catch up with you all and we created some fantastic scans. It was also a lovely surprise to be awarded Silver in the British Railway Modelling awards for innovation! Thank you to everyone that voted for us. We were narrowly pipped by Rapido Trains UK for their Titfield Thunderbolt Deluxe pack, a well deserved win which we also played a small part in providing the full colour figures. We've lots of exciting new collaborations coming up with Accurascale UK, TMC - The Model Centre, West Hill Wagon Works and KR Models which we'll keep you updated on. Modelu's success would be nothing without the team, so a big thank you to Chris, Harrison, Sophie, Alex, Pam and Ed who worked their socks off in the lead up and during the show. We will continue to work hard pushing the boundaries with 3d scanning, colour printing and working closely with the manufacturers to produce high quality figures. We are really excited to be attending the brand new Model World Live show at the NEC in April. Along with our new 3d scanning both we'll also be launching our brand new RAF range (see details below) created with the assistance of Up an' at 'em History. Jed will be joining us at the show with a collection of WWII RAF crew clothing and accessories, so if you want to fly your own Spitfire as well as drive your own steam engine, come say hello! We'll have stocks of our popular model railway items in OO, O, TT and N and our new RAF range in 1:144, 1:87, 1:76, 1:72, 1:48, 1:32 and 1:24. We are also hugely thankful to Alex at Echo Range Models for providing us with a number of fantastic 1:72 and 1:48 display models to show our new RAF range at their best. You'll also be able to see figure painting demonstrations by Dan Evason from Tunnel Lane Model Railways / Hornby Magazine. Dan is a master of his art and will happily share tips and techniques to make figure painting more accessible. As mentioned above, we are very excited to be working with Jed and his team at Up An' At 'Em History to produce a brand new range 'RAF Through the Ages'. Our initial range focuses on WWII, in particular the early war and Battle of Britain, D-Day and female roles such as WAAF's and Flying Nightingales. 3D Scans have been captured using authentic uniform and accessories and poses based on real photographs such as those below. We'll be launching the range at Model World Live at the end of April with stock of the figures available in a wide range of scales.
  3. Good afternoon all, I am on annual leave this week so unable to share the whole newsletter with you on here but thought the below may be of interest. Will aim to put the rest of the newsletter up by Tuesday. Have a great Easter weekend!
  4. If these sell well at the show we can do them in 2mm in future.
  5. We are very excited to be attending the London Festival of Railway Modelling this weekend. We would love to see you and do feel free to give us any suggestions on new products. We will also have some new mystery boxes on sale at the show at just £10 for OO and £15 for O gauge.
  6. Newsletter continued further: Our final release this month is two crew packs for Hornby's diminutive Ruston 48DS. Designed for the open cab versions, the packs feature a driver and shunter with photographs inspired by images of the locos at work. Available now in all scales. Our products would be nothing without the people who volunteer their time and expertise to help us produce accurate figures. We've recently been working with crews from GBRf, DB Cargo and Colas to completely overhaul our modern image range. This will include new bespoke crews for Hornby, Bachmann and Heljan locos for early and late BR periods, Sectorisation and the modern Privatised era. We are grateful to Bessie and Ollie of GBRf and Phil of Colas for bringing their day-to-day experiences to life in miniature. Look out for new figures in the coming months! Anyone who has followed Daryl Barne's ZL Swindon Works Facebook group will have seen his superb O gauge diorama based on his own experiences in the 1980s. He recently began to add our figures to his scene, show here painted by Dan Evason. Daryl has worked his magic to bring this scene to life, capturing the end for a Class 25. Daryl wins a £25 Modelu voucher for his entry. If you'd like to enter, please email your photos to info@modelu3d.co.uk, or tag us in on social media.
  7. Newsletter continued: With thanks to Fourdees for the loan of 3d printed locos we are pleased to announce two new sets of crews. These include driver and fireman figures for the Corris/Talyllyn Tattoo and Talyllyn Dolgoch. The crew poses and attire are inspired by photos of the locos and crews at Tywyn in the 1950s. Available in all scales now. With the new Peco Large England almost in the shops, we've decided to add another crew pairing to the range. Our Small England crew was one of our most popular crew pairings so we hope this second set brings some variation to your fleet. Available now in all scales
  8. Happy Friday everyone, it's time for another newsletter from Alan. Please see below: February has been a challenging month for us at Modelu - I want to be the first to reconigse that we've not provided the level of service that many of you are accustomed to. Recovering from our office move has taken longer than envisaged in part due to an exceptionally busy start to the month. We've also seen our 3d scanner in use more than ever this past month with customer visits almost every day. In particular correspondence and order lead times have taken a hit whilst we've juggled the many tasks of keeping things running smoothly. I'm looking at a new email system at present to make it much easier to prioritise your queries and to ensure that requests are responded to promptly. We really appreciate your patience and your custom and will be making an extra effort to ensure that you receive a high level of customer service. Thank you Alan We are continuing to learn more and more about the capabilities of our new 3d scanning booth and one of the benefits has been the speed of the scanning process. With capture times of 1/200 second this has finally allowed us to 3D scan children and even pets. Our daughter Margot turned 3 in February and with a little encouragement agreed to be 3D scanned and the results were superb. We also had a visit from GBRf's Bessie who brought her two pugs along, both of which managed to remain still enough for a scan! We'll continue to test the 3D scanning of dogs with some of our friends pets, but all being well we'll be able to offer this as a new service very soon! We've a number of new releases scheduled for Ally Pally in 2 weeks time, these include: Dapol / EFE J94 Crews in O and OO Available in 3 themed packs of drivers and firemen, the new packs will feature: 11253 J94 BR Crew Pack 11254 J94 Industrial Crew Pack 11255 J94 NCB Crew Pack With thanks to Nick Willcox from the SVR for the assistance with 3D Scans, Neil at Dapol and Dan at Derails for the loan of O and OO locos for test fitting. Sutton Loco Works Class 25 We are really excited to be working again with Phil at Sutton Loco Works on new crews for their superb Class 25. SLW were the first company where we worked directly with the manufacturer to produce bespoke models with a perfect fit. We'll have 2 packs of driver and second man in OO and O gauge, the new packs will feature: 10231 Class 25 Early BR Crew Pack 10232 Class 25 Late BR Crew Pack Thanks to Phil for the loan of a Class 25 cab interior and for Brian McCulloch for assistance with creating the poses. Sadly we've not had time to make any progress on the new lamps, but once we've been to Ally Pally we'll be able to devote development time. The first step will be sending out samples to the customers who kindly offered to trial the lamps. Our plan is to offer two versions, firstly a full kit including all components required for illumination, and a second kit which will be just the 3d printed components for those that either don't require illumination, or have their own solution. We hope this will provide a highly cost-effective way of adding as near-to-scale lighting as possible to your layouts. Jed from Up An' At 'Em History is booked in for a day 3d scanning in March to kick off our new range of RAF Through the Ages figures. We'll be focusing initially on the Battle of Britain and D-Day with a range of figures to be launched at Model World Live at the NEC in April. Over time we'll be working with Jed and his colleagues to cover all manner of eras and theatres of the RAF's history. Look out for images of prototype products on our social media in the coming weeks. Thanks to Luke Griffen at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, we now have brand new crews for the modern-day 'Ladies' Blanche and Linda. Both crew packs feature a driver and fireman sitting in the distinctive poses associated with these two locos. Available now in all scales.
  9. We have scanned a bike recently (not an easy job) it does need a fair bit of editing before we can provide something that can be printed. I have put a picture of the bike below:
  10. Newsletter continued: A long term dream of mine to bring 21st technology to the world of aviation figures has taken a huge step forward. In March we'll be working with Jed at Up An' At 'Em History to produce a brand new range of RAF themed figures from RFC through to present day. With Jed's huge collection of clothing it is a daunting task of where to begin, but our plan is to mark the D-Day 80th Anniversary with a new figure set whilst also turning attentions to some long neglected areas such as ground crew and pilots. We'll be targeting the Model World Live in April as a launch date for the range. Needless to say we are hugely excited to work with Jed and look forward to creating some amazing new figures! Following on from our release of modern image passenger packs, we've now added two new discounted packs suitable for the 1930s-1960s. These packs feature 10 pre-cut seated figures to make more cost effective to populate your coaches than ever before. Retailing at half the price of our existing packs, prices start at £18.00 for 10 seated figures in N/HO/OO. With the imminent arrival of Dapol's latest variant of the GWR Mogul we've added a bespoke crew to the range. Suitable for the Dapol and Heljan 43/53xx and 63xx models along with many other GWR classes. 3D scanned with the kind assistance of the Didcot Railway Centre using the cab of 5322. Ever since Freightiner's Bessie visited us last year we've been wanting to do a crew for the Bachmann model. Finally with the assistance of Craig of Iron Horse Railways we've finally been able to crew this distinctive looking loco. Crew pack figures driver and second man and is available via our website now. With Valentines approaching we thought we'd look back through our catalogue of scans and add a little romance to the range! Three new couple packs figure Modelu customers restaging their proposal at BRM London a few years ago and Modelu's very own Harrison and his wife Ellie and Chris and his wife Coretta. Perfect to bring a little happiness to a church on your layout. We are extremely grateful to the almost 100 subscribers who receive our monthly digital releases. We started our Patreon subscription service as a pilot back in July with just 10 people and through Harrison's hard work it has grown month on month. For anyone who is interested in printing figures on your own or club 3D printer this is a fantastic way of getting involved. Multiple tiers of subscription allow you to download monthly figures, or even shape the direction of our development using suggestions and voting. We are excited to see what else our subscribers vote for and look forward to more people coming on board. Here is an example of the last 4 months of releases which you can also buy directly from our website. Fans of the Modelling BR Blue Facebook page will be well aware of Mark Wilson's amazing dioramas. He lately turned his skills to our train spotter figures, based on photographs of young train spotters in the 1970s and 1980s. Not only has Mark captured the scene perfectly, his accompanying write up of his own memories as a spotter in the 1970s bring the scene to life. Check out his post in the group and his other inspirational work with dioramas of Swindon works, Birmingham New Street, Paddington and Stewarts Lane. Mark wins a £25 Modelu voucher. If you'd like to enter, please email your photos to info@modelu3d.co.uk, or tag us in on social media.
  11. Good morning, Its that time again for another newsletter, it has been a busy few days moving office and we are nearly there now. Please see the below from Alan: After a great 12 months in Barton Hill we've now moved back to Easton Business Centre into a new 1100 sq foot office. Moving again so soon is obviously time consuming and expensive, but with our fleet of 3d printers growing and our new scanning booth extra space has been essential. When I look around our workshop today we are quite a different company compared to this time in 2023. The latest resin printers and a new automated labelling machine have enabled us to cut order turnaround time by half and our exhibition stand has grown from displaying 48 products to over 200. Our new office gives us a dedicated room for our body scanner, workshop test layout, retail stand and a customer area with display models, prototypes and refreshments! We are planning an open day to launch the new workshop and we'll most likely time it for our 9th birthday in April. Look out for more information soon. 7 years after winning the Innovation of the Year Award at Warley we are delighted to have been nominated again with our brand new scanning booth! Debuted at Warley last year, our new scanner has increased speed and the range of poses we can recreate. Within minutes of being 3d scanned you also receive a digital version of your scan that you can explore in augmented reality (AR). We are proud to have been nominated and would really appreciate any votes we receive. We are on page 6 and you can cast your votes following the link at the top of this webpage. Winners will be announced at the BRM London Festival of Railway Modelling in March. Thank you to everyone who completed our 2024 New Product Survey. The responses give us a fantastic insight into what you, our customers want. Over the next few months we'll be shaping our product development to match the choices made. If you haven't yet completed the survey, you can do so below. https://mailchi.mp/modelu3d/2024-product-survey FEBRUARY / MODELRAIL SCOTLAND - MODELU NOT ATTENDING Unfortunately due to the huge costs of insuring our new scanner for this event we sadly will not be able to attend ModelRail Scotland as originally hoped. We'll continue to work towards a cost effective solution for 2025. MARCH / BRM LONDON FESTIVAL OF RAILWAY MODELLING In March we return to London in a new larger stand directly opposite our friends at Accurascale. Come along to the stand to have yourself 3D scanned as custom crew for any of the Accurascale fleet! APRIL / MODELU BIRTHDAY OPEN DAY TBC We are making plans for an open to day at our new office in Bristol to celebrate or 9th year in business. The day will feature a couple of layouts, demonstrations and local traders. More information to come shortly! APRIL / MODEL WORLD LIVE, NEC NEW SHOW We are really excited to announce that we'll be attending the brand new show at the NEC this April. We're working on a new military range which all being well will debut at this show. MAY / BRM BRISTOL MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION (THORNBURY) We'll be back in Thornbury for our local show, look out for new product announcements and collaborations along with our 3d scanning booth. We are pleased to announce that Tierney Model Shop have joined our network of stockists. Based near Southend-on-Sea the shop prides themselves on being operated by modellers, for modellers. Expect to find our best sellers in OO and N Gauge. Take a look at their website, or if you are local, stop by and see our range in the flesh. You can see a full list of our stockists and their locations on our store locator. Something that has been on the drawing board here for many years is the platform and yard lamps. We've blown the dust off this project and have started working on prototypes for an LSWR Barley Twist lamp and GWR No1 and No3 yard lamps. 4mm scale 3D print tests have confirmed that we can use 0.5mm brass tube through the columns to allow for illumination using either nano LEDs or fibre optics. With the assistance of members of Modelu Modellers, we'll be trialling the lamps in February with launch at BRM London.
  12. Thank you, I will get that looked into. This looks fabulous, thank you for sharing.
  13. That looks great! Would you be happy for us to share the image?
  14. I will do some testing on them this week to get try them myself in the office, I will send you a message when I have tested them all. Someone came up to me at Warley wondering about the crew for this, after having a look at the loco the placement of the splashers makes this difficult to recommend a crew from our range, this is why we would love to make a custom crew for it. I will look into us putting the original height of figures onto the website.
  15. A big thank you to all of you who have done the survey, it is much appreciated and we have some plans already for some of the products that are coming out of it. I will do my best to reply to all the questions below. This should be something that is much more able for us to do now. We just need to get some pictures and dimensions sorted for them really. I apologise for the height issue you had, some of the early scans that Alan created the figures would be taller than usual. But now we have a wider range of people willing to be scanned this is not the case with more recent releases. This is also the reason that we are doing more custom crews to make sure that this is less likely to be an issue. The issue with having the size of the figures on each item is the range of scales we are providing means that it would be a huge undertaking. I don't want to put a time limit on this, but I took a trip to Barrow Hill in December and may have had some fun with scanning some items. Platform trolleys is a good suggestion and is something we were talking about in the office last week. I will discuss your other suggestions in the office. Can I ask what scale you are working with? I pair of side cutters should work really well in most scales and we tend to cut the supports off in the office on any larger figures. Feel free to drop me a message with the effected figures and I can do some tests in the office. We generally use Delux superglue if there have been any issues in the office. If you could drop us a message. The holderbats you have there are very old version and may have had an adjustment between then and now.
  16. Good afternoon! Venturing off my usual page. If you drop us an email I'm sure we can sort something. Not having it on the cabinet is fine (Please see picture) but some CAD work would need to be done for your changes. Kind regards, Chris
  17. Happy Friday everyone! Here at Modelu your opinion really matters, we have a new survey just released and we would love for some of you fantastic RMWeb users to take part. There is a little reward at the end for those that take part. We would really appreciate your answers. The below is from Alan: Innovation is at the heart of Modelu, and using our new instant 3d scanner we have many new ideas, but we’d love to know what new products and figures you’d like to see from Modelu. They could be more variations of what we produce already, completely new ranges or eras, or something else such as more bespoke crews for new locomotives. We’d like to ask a few questions which will help us prioritise our development for the rest of the year. Thank you for giving us your time, you’ll find a little bonus at the end of the survey! https://us10.list-manage.com/survey?u=6043a89b810c1f6a184374c55&id=157a1b55ae
  18. I will be updating the stockist list on our website today. Our stockist is Yarmouth Model Works. Kind regards, Chris
  19. Newsletter continued: Congratulations to Dale West for coming in at a very close second in our photo of the year competition. He has won a £75 Modelu voucher for this great diesel depot scene. Well done Dale! Our winner for this years photo of the year, as chosen by you, is this great scene from George Williamson. This 009 layout was captioned "The Corris Tattoo works its way up the valley to collect slate from the quarry." George has won a huge £150 Modelu voucher. Thank you to everyone who took part, with record numbers entering. We really love to see your work!
  20. Good morning everyone, I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and ready for lots of modelling in 2024! I have the yearly roundup from Alan below, we hope you enjoy and thank you all for your kind words over the last year. It is much appreciated. 2023, where to start! On a personal level within the team we've had a birth and two weddings to start with! August saw the arrival of our second daughter Sylvie and in September we had two weddings - Chris and Coretta and later in the month Harrison and Ellie. We also had a few changes - Ed moved on to a new design role and we had Sophie and Alex join us bolstering our production and order fulfilment roles. Both Sophie and Alex have been able to free up myself, Harrison and Chris to continue building other areas of the business. FULL COLOUR 3D PRINTING :Working with Accurascale and Rapido we continued to produce new full colour prints including figure packs for the Accurascale Class 37 and Manor, and of course who could forget the Titfield Thunderbolt Vicar, Bishop and Squire for Rapido. PRINT COMMISSIONS: Harrison has continued to push the boundaries of what we can 3D print, having produced some unbelievable engineering prototypes for Accurascale and Rapido, including the Accurascale Class 50 and J67, Rapido O1, Port of Par tanks, Y7, J52, E1 and Class 44. We also reintroduced our 3D Print Commission service. PATREON: Harrison also launched our new Patreon STL subscription service where we have over 75 monthly subscribers, many of which shape the content they receive each month with a monthly release poll. STOCKISTS: Chris has been single-handedly expanding our network of stockists to include North America, The Netherlands, Australia and an additional 10 UK stockists, many of who he has personally visited in his own time. PRODUCTION: Alex has expanded our 3D printing capabilities to include new faster 12K printers which have allowed us to reduce our order completion lead times from 10 days down to a few days. Printing throughput is nothing without the packing though, and Sophie and Pam have been working hard to keep orders flowing quickly. Key to this has been a new automated label printer which includes details of the customer order and order bin on the label to help with packing issues. INSTANT 3D SCANNING: Lastly, an by no means least as it took months of calculations and projections, we invested in our new instant 3D scanner. This was deployed at Warley for the first time and performed fantastically. NEW OFFICE, AGAIN! These advancements have set us up perfectly for 2024 and the only thing we are now lacking is space... so surprise surprise we are moving workshop again!! We'll be back in Easton Business Centre in February in a new 1100sq foot office which should see us for another year at least when we'll no doubt need an industrial unit! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful new year and we'll see you with new ideas and new projects in 2024. Cheers! To kick off 2024 we have our second release of new Victorian themed figures captured at the Ffestiniog Bygones Weekend in October 2023. These include a twin pack of maids and 3 new triple packs of Victorian people. These include women with baskets, British Army Officer on leave and a selection of female figures in fine clothing. Congratulations go out to Steven Draper from Terrific Trains for winning our AR competition. By placing Chris on his layout he has won a £25 voucher to spend with us. For those of you that have your own AR figure we would love to see them! Congratulations to nse_latchmere on Instagram for winning our Modelu caption competition! With the comment "It's FRESIAN in here... Get me a JERSEY" he has won a Modelu box of goodies that will be sent when the office opens on 2nd January. Thank you for your entries, many of them amused us in the office. Congratulations to Fritham Junction on Twitter for coming third in our photo of the year competition. A surge in votes for his entry on the final day of voting means he has won a £25 Modelu voucher for this delightful scene captioned "A GWR 2-6-0 is prepared for work as a pannier sits idle under the shed lights."
  21. I don’t know if you would have any luck getting enamel paints off, do you want to send me a message and I am sure we can sort something to help you.
  22. Newsletter continued: We have some more brand new releases of farm animals this week. We have a set of 6 sheep, 6 lambs and a ram. These are available on the website now and would look baaarilliant on any farm scene! For those of you with 3D printers not treat yourself to 15% off our downloadable figures? 23. With today being the last day of the office I am sneaking this up now for you all so you don't miss out. Please see the below from Alan (Honestly I haven't paid him for the comment): I'm really proud to have such amazing staff at Modelu - they've worked their socks off all year, especially since Warley/Black Friday and in the lead up to Christmas. I'm also really happy to say that every order placed prior to December 20th has been shipped which is no small achievement considering this is our busiest Christmas since I started Modelu, off the back of our busiest Warley and busiest Black Friday! Hopefully Royal Mail will now do their end of the process and get your orders to you in a timely manner. If you would like an order update, please send us a message, though note we'll be closed from Thursday 21st-Tuesday 2nd January for a well earned rest. Before we close for Christmas I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers. Many of you have been on our journey since right at the start back in 2015. 24. Newsletter continued: We have expanded our range of farm animals to include horned and dehorned dairy cattle and bulls. Cows are available with 3 varied or 3 standing poses for cattle wagons. We also have a bull available as a single product. These are the first of a new range for farm yards and livestock traffic. Another item launched at Warley was this new bundle pack of shed detailing parts. This set contains a slide jack, loco oil supply cans, sandbox filler, oil feeder can and loco & cylinder oil cans. This is another cost effective way of detailing your loco shed without purchasing the individual products. I recent years RTR carriage design has seen advancements to include magnetic roof fixings making figure installation easier than ever. To recognise this we've created a new pre-cut version of our modern image passenger packs at 50% off the full size figure price. Now it is easier than ever to populate your carriages. Available in packs of 10 at £18.00 in OO and £30.00 in O gauge. Thanks to Heljan for the loan of the Mk2 coach EP - it was a very simple task to install the figures with the magnetic fixings. And there we have it for this newsletter. I would just like to let you all know on RMWeb that the office will be closed from Wednesday this week. We reopen again on Tuesday 2nd January, I will still be coming on here in that time personally so I will try to respond to any questions.
  25. Seems like its been a bit or a whirlwind in the office this past week but with us being out on Friday for our work Christmas meal I have ended up later than planned getting this email in. Please see the below from Alan: To all our customers at Warley who had 3d scans with our new scanner, thank you for your patience - your orders are now begining to ship this week. If your order is being shipped direct to you, you will receive a fulfillment email with a Royal Mail tracking link. If your order is going direct to Dan, your order will still show as unfulfilled until Dan is able to post it to you. For an accurate status please get in touch. We are really excited to announce that Antic's will be a new Modelu stockist in the new year! With Antic's being our local model shop we are really pleased to be working with them. Thank you to everyone who entered our Photo of the Year competition - we had over 120 entries and some fantastic photos. Submissions for our Photo of the Year competition have now closed and our judges this year are Dan Evason, Nick Willcox of the SVR and the team at Modelu. We've had the extremely difficult job of shortlisting 5 entries for you to vote upon. JUDGING & VOTES Congratulations to Dale West, Paul Field, George Williamson, Paul Chana and Fritham Junction who were shortlisted! You can now decide who's image is the winner - simply vote on the image in the gallery. Voting closes on the 21st December The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve! PRIZES The winner will receive a £150 Modelu gift voucher, 2nd place receives a £75 voucher, and 3rd place a £25 voucher. IMPORTANT DATES 21st December - Voting ends 24th December - Winner announced! We've expanded our range of specials to include two new figures seen on our TV screens - British Railway Historian and presenter Tim Dunn and Hornby: A Model World's Simon Kohler. Tim was 3d scanned at Warley and kindly let us add him to our range. Simon was scanned in Margate during filming of the second series of Hornby: A Model World last year. To complement these two figures we've also added a new camera man to film them. These figures have always been popular individually, so to give a little discount we've bundled them into a set. This set of three figures includes a bus driver, conductor and workman. We feel this is a lovely cameo pack that would look great on any road or bus depot scene. Look out for more long overdue figures for buses and trams in the New Year! Another popular pairing, these two workmen pushing a load were posed for by Modelu customer Chris Cox some years ago. We've bundled them with an impatient looking foreman and are now available at 20% off the individual product price.
