I strongly recommend this one. The atmosphere is great, the cafe in the Museum is very reasonably priced and serves truly memorable cakes, and the 12" to the foot scale vintage bus service (completely free) to Victoria is a big draw for me. It's one of those rare shows where the venue adds to the enjoyment, not detracts from it. Lovely show, one that deserves a bigger audience.

Where will the heritage bus service be picking up from at Victoria please? Given the ridiculous amount of roadworks around there, I wouldn't like to miss it!

I will check with the museum tomorrow and post an update.

Nearly all set up for tomorrow!

There was one layout missed off the layouts list:-

Midhurst Road Junction    OO Signalling Demo Layout returning this year in it's extended form.

Bus Service will start from Manchester Victoria from opposite the CIS Building on Corporation Street and not from outside the front of the station.

DCC Seminars unfortunately those who normally help with these cannot attend this year due to other commitments so we will not be running them this year but feel free to ask on L&YDCC member if you need any advise and we will be more than happy to help.

I am biased but I think we've got a cracking exhibition this year so hopefully we'll see you there.

Visited on Saturday. Overall standard of the layouts was IMO the best to date for this show, but I did think that the trade was a bit heavy on RTR though having said that there were some keen prices on some items.

I was a bit concerned though about the narrowness of the gangways in places, it did make it difficult to stop and watch a layout for too long before you got swept away by the crowds. Probably a reflection of the way the show has grown and developed and got busier, but something to think about for next year...

I visited the show Saturday and it was nice and busy. Nice to see Ray and Polly on Camel Quay and had a natter with them. Trade was a bit on the heavy side especially new RTR stock and that usually results in poor sales for the traders over the course of the weekend. Aisles again could do with being wider and therefore something to consider how to improve on for next year. Otherwise a nice afternoon looking at the layouts some I hadn't seen before.

Cheers Paul

went along sunday. could have spent all day watching some of the layouts. was a good mix of timescales and gauges and the owners were happy to answer questions. the scratch built trams in the lower hall and the 24 lever frame on Midhurst road were amazing in detail and build.  look forward to going to this one again.

Yes I would agree with that, when I first walked in so many traders It looked like a swapmeet.

However a nice mix of quality layouts and a good day out

Many thanks to Peter and crew for their hospitality and putting on a great show. We enjoyed ourselves operating Camel Quay but as usual got very little chance to have a good look at the other exhibits or lighten the wallet.

Ray & Polly.
