  8. Not impressed to say the least. Looks good out of the box. start the running in ready for doc to be fitted and it wobbles clunks over point work then throws its bogie out as clip is snapped back. Why use such a old way of mouting the boiges and on a model close to £200 Only arrived today and did 1 1/2 laps at least they allow a 21 pin decoder now

  11. here is my little French thing. Had this one for 13 years now and have had many happy hours flying round/ working on it. its still a 1.4 but has had a lot of work to the engine brakes ect. biggest upgrade was fitting EFI using a adaptronic ecu to control it all. last time it was mapped was a safe 215BHP @25 psi. Always had a Renault of some sort and have a 2000 plate clio and a megane sport but these cars from the 80/90's just love them
  12. the servo looks like a Normal linier servo is used. have had a play with a few of these in the past on other projects and found them to be a bit noisy then but great for small spaces and good distance of travel. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-ultra-micro-servo-1-7g-for-3d-flight-left.html
  13. i have found out why mine sounded rough on running at speed. Found two very small bits of plastic stuck to the wheel in the same place on each side of a axle. now all is ok and running fine
  14. i have finally got round to running mine in today but after i increased the speed from running in it sounds as though it has wheel flats runs well but dose not sound 100% right.
  15. Just tried and got a hosting Company page.
  16. looking at my preorder i can not see a special decoder i can add to it. so are retailers aware of this or will they find out when the boxes arrive.
  17. next time it dose this check the connections on the network cable between both boards. also just unplug them to see if they boot up on there own so to speak. had a similar issue where the some times all was well and other times not. i traced it to faulty terminal crimp on the cable in the end.
  18. drop dave a email. thing about this product is the support from dave. im running quite a lot of megapoint boards and if i have had one of them moments when setting things up dave has helped me out.
  19. my thoughts as well. when i was younger my uncle used to take us round here in 87 or 88 all trains were long gone but all the track and gantry's were still there was fascinated as a 8/9 year old boy just a shame its now all gone
  20. andy thanks for all your hard working getting things sorted. but just to let you know i still get a message from norton it has blocked a attack every time i click on a page.
  21. have been working at the new road site in stockport and was able to take a quick pick showing a small section of what is left of the tunnel under the viaduct. shame i have not been on site sooner. from what i could see this was close to the bottom level of the tunnel.
  22. i noticed in the video of the test run you can see the light for the monitoring/recording equipment on the roof. sometimes see a 390 going over the viaduct in Stockport with the light shining on the roof and wondered what the light was for first time i saw it. would love to see some of the footage
  23. search you tube for Dave Fenton (megapoints) he has some good videos on there including one for the double slip. also just had all my boards upgraded. Top service from Dave as usual
