RMweb Premium it's-er Posted September 14, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 14, 2015 Two quick questions, if I may. 1. Is there a reasonable amount of parking available at the Baildon Recreation Centre? 2. If I'm coming up from N Wales, what's the best route - M62 and M606 and then round Bradford? Or M65 to Colne, then A6068 and A629 round by Keighly, then A650? John

John Evening John We have a large area for parking available to us for the exhibition, some is the normal Tarmac car park for the centre & there is a large grassed area we use for the lions share of the parking need for the show. Regards the best route to take M62 M606 appears to be the quickest & most direct but there is a fair chunk of the M62 around Manchester to Milnrow at 50mph at the min for works. If the traffic is good it shouldn't really add much to the journey time. I did the journey twice over the weekend for EM North in Parthington & it was no real issue. Look forward to seeing you at the show. Cheers Chris
Chris-GNR
Afternoon everybody.... Just a little note regards this weekends show. In the current BRM magazine the show is listed at 26th & 27th September but it is this weekend 19th & 20th September. Also, In Model Railway Journal 241 (current issue) the price for adults is listed as £6 & children £2.40. The correct prices are:- Adult £5.50 Child £2.50 Family £11 Many thanks to the above publications for including a listing for our show in their magazines. Chris-GNR
Morning all.... Set up went well last night, I think we got away at least half an hour earlier then usual. Just a couple of traders left to set up that are due this morning. All is set for an excellent weekend. The layouts all look fantastic, a really good selection of hi quality modelling on every floor. See you all there..... Cheers Chris
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted September 19, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 19, 2015 Due to a forced early start I'm on my way but currently enjoying watching trains go by through the Vale of York, and watched a beautiful sunrise and 10 hot air balloons... Looking forward to the show, always a good one.
RMweb Premium Barry O Posted September 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 19, 2015 Nice layouts, good traders but I would say that the aisles are a tad narrow in places. Enjoyed seeing the Mill (and Jason, Chris and the Worsdell chap) and the other layouts were very good with a good mix of scales, regions etc. Baz. RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted September 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 19, 2015 Just got back home A great exhibition all quality layouts. Yo will problerley see 3 or 4 of them at Stafford in the coming couple of years. RMweb Premium Jamiel Posted September 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 19, 2015 What an excellent show this year.As a fan of big layouts the debut of 'Hornsey Broadway' was a treat, and 'Leicester South' is probably my favourite steam layout, plus lots of other great layouts and dioramas.Thank you.Jamie
