  1. It’s the age old thing no two modellers want the same thing. I only occasionally sew the real thing as a kid as the bus went over Swain street bridge. Though I’m sure I could have gone spotting myself when older, I didn’t fancy walking around Highfileds the red light central and drug centre of Leicester back then. So now I model for the recreation of childhood memories of playing trains rather then seeing the real things. so lights are a bonus (Hornby class 25 favourite model as a kid) not too bright, but visible is good, I’m never sure if Heljan model lights are on!
  2. They didn’t has you know but, I would have thought it would have been logical to release new coaches with dcc fitted as standard to bring the whole rage of coaches up to the same standards, with the older coaches they already produced being upgraded when the tooling becomes worn.
  3. They do look very nice, has the DCC fitted range been dropped
  4. I Never said they did, what I said was simple facts. The website said Q1/Q2/Q3, they have since removed Q1. Leaving a six month time frame. Now for whatever reason they originally started 3 quarters it doesn’t matter and would still be on time even if it turns up in September. So there’s no reason to say anything unless the delivery doesn’t meet their deadline.
  5. Well all they’ve done is take out the Q1 from the website from what I can see. Has it says Q2,Q3 now,it could be anytime between today and end of September. Which is 6 months. Someone from Accurascale did say watch out for an update about the 31s at the end of this week. can’t remember if it was on one of the topics on this site or FB. But nothing has been mentioned from what I can find. Could get interesting by the end of the month if the 31s are not on a big boat by then or beginning of may. Has the Bachmann ones will be in the race to see who’s arrive first.
  6. My moneys on Hornby’s with the 8f, the princess Coronation and Royal both done with the black 5 on the way. 8f has to be next unless they go for the Stanier rebuilds first. Which are still good models but, could be improved on. Possibly to decrease the production costs which might increase sales. Both models could do with a bit more weight if space permits.
  7. Being a harden LMS modeller. I’d be interested in how big a discount you would apply to get rid of them. 2 for the price of one would compensate for time taken to do a full repaint.
  8. Got to leave something for the second run
  9. Well has industrial locomotives are popular at the moment how about one of theses, when I say one obviously that’s 4 please.
  10. I’ll give that a go and see how I get on. Thank you for the suggestion
  11. Identical only thing I’ve done to the model was to remove the fan to allow space for the speaker. The lights work if I put the 8 pin blanking plug in even if the model is still opened up like in the image.
  12. Just reopened my model again just incase I was going daft, No contacts. Has two little plugs. No plungers.
  13. I have a R3674 class 31 D5579 in golden Ochre runs fine sound great however the lights in one direction are not working. In reverse it has the red tail lights and white side lights working fine but when travelling forward (end with the fan) neither front or rear lights work. I have put a 8 pin blanking plate in and all lights work as they should. Is it possible there’s a CV that needs adjusting (and which one please) or is it more likely to be a fault? On the decoder now? Definitely out of warranty if so. Any help much appreciate.
