  1. I'm very sorry I did not see your message until today. I have now disposed of the layout
  2. Hello everyone. Long time no post. Due to significant life changes I have done no modelling for around three years now. I have also had to realise that even if I do pick up again, a major project like the DNS is not feasible for me as an individual. I'm about to contact some traders about selling my 00 stock, but I would much rather see someone get benefit from the work I put in to tracklaying etc rather than strip the layout for second hand points which will not fetch much anyway. So, all the baseboards with track in situ and wiring started are available free of charge to anybody who can collect them from North Yorkshire ( a small van will be needed ) and I will also be able to give you some other bits like the partly built model of Chesil station and the Burghclere signal box seen in this thread. It will take considerable work to get this back up and running, but the man hours you will save from the work I have already done will be considerable, if the project is of interest to you PM me if you are interested
  3. Thanks G, I'm fine. Just for various reasons decided that RMWeb was not a place to hang out anymore. Uncle Robin's kind remark did tempt me back to say thanks, as I still get email notifications of some things.
  4. Was he a sergeant? I think I met a sergeant by that name although I didn't know him well.
  5. How did you access them please? I cant see any mention of them in the June digital BRM and it's not part of the BRMTV content?
  6. I completely sympathise. I have been frankly appalled by the attitude of so called holiday areas to second home owners. If I was lucky enough to own two homes I would feel totally justified in choosing which one to be locked down in. I wouldn't expect to travel willy nilly between the two. Ultimately people have probably got a second home as somewhere to go and relax so why wouldn't you want to locked down there rather than in a "main home" that's probably somewhere convenient for work rather than peaceful.
  7. What colour are the ends on the two liveries? If both have black ends you could do one side chocolate and cream, and the other side lake. Having the luxury of a degree of freelance on my light railway all of my coaches and some of the wagons have different liveries / lettering on each side.
  8. This sometimes works for me and might save you a bit of time and money. Imagine the replacement pigs have arrived. You need to put them somewhere safe. Where will you put them? Good chance the originals will be there....
  9. Hey Phil, maybe Argyle will get promoted???? League 2 has voted to end the season and promote the clubs currently in the top 3 places. They also voted for no relegation. If league 1 vote for no relegation I don't see how league 2 clubs can be promoted because there would be four too many clubs in league 1 and 4 fewer in league 2? I know it's not as important as real life, but interesting anyway.
