Looking forward to being there with Earl's Court.

I've got a couple of new loco's on show..........

Ivatt 2-6-2t complete with a push/pull set. (Converted from Dapol coaches).

Plus a 2MT 2-6-0 which will take a turn on shunting the milk wagons.

Both the above brilliantly weathered by Harry Pollard of Maidenhead MRC

First time I'll have been with my own layout.

Just shaking the cobwebs out after the Christmas lull. One of my Hymeks has had a bogie transplant and is back to full fitness, so should have the entire motive power stud operational again

Looking forward to the show. Maesglas has had its control panel moved and a pre show shakedown completed, this will be the first show since its debut, at the NGS AGM a couple of years back. Couple of wagons and a few scenic items to add the finishing touches to then it'll be ready for packing up

Weather forecast:

Saturday - light rain showers and a moderate breeze.

Sunday - sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.

So perhaps it isn't going to snow this year.

They've changed their minds. Saturday's forecast is now sleet and a gentle breeze.

It'll be fine.

Dropped in for a few hours today - very enjoyable - some very nice layouts - including my favourite -  a very nice HO Canadian layout ( Atherley Narrows) with lots of switching action and some excellent detailed and converted Athearn diesels - nice modelling (and very nostalgic).

Visited the show yesterday and pleased to say, it goes from strength to strength, with more improvement.

Many thanks to everyone involved.

Here are a couple of videos, made during my visit. The outstanding Chilcompton Tunnel gets its own video.

A great show - really enjoyed the day there today

And another vote for Chilcompton - absolutely stunning, prototypical trains in the landscape will always float my boat!

19th - 20th January 2019, saw the Bentley Model Railway (Railroad) Group host their annual Model Railway Exhibition. This years line-up featured no less than 17 layouts in a variety of gauges and scales, as well as a good selection of Trade Stands.

Hope you enjoy!

I enjoyed the weekend, Maesglas performed pretty well, better than baby Laira ever did. Nice to hear some positive comments from peoe too. Good to see friends and meet a few new people. The layout looks surprisingly good in the videos, it's interesting to see it from the other side and take it in as a whole. In the video by SDJR7F88 I look rather animated in the conversation I'm having to the left of the layout!

A short video of the stunning "Chilcompton Tunnel", on display at the Calne Model Railway Show, 19/01/2019.

The layout captures this icon location on the Somerset & Dorset Railway superbly, with busy summer traffic, including local passenger, heavy freight and the legendary "Pines Express".

Here we see a few clips of this wonderful layout in action, watching the trains roll by.

Hope you enjoy!
