Despite the combined efforts of those of us willing to speak out and the police and Child Protection involvement, nothing was done. Eventually, a few of us gave up and left - in my case taking a sideways move - because the situation became impossible. I'm sure you'll heed the advice to join a union - I found mine most supportive on more than one occasion. And do apply for that job. You'd be readily available for any supply work there on your day off or you could put your name down at other nearby schools. Failing that, would your wife consider some part time or evening work to help the family budget? Good luck and I hope things soon improve, whatever you decide to do.

Ian and I have read with interest on here and FB about the huge turnout to rallies all over the world. We totally support your concerns for minority groups and others under the new regime and we're surprised by the reaction of a few others here. Believe in what you are doing - we need people to be passionate about human rights. Don't be discouraged.

Olddudders and I are enjoying our second TIB, which happens to be Typhoo as there was a special offer in Lidl. Otherwise, we are happy enough with their own brand. One of the few things on which we disagree (bear in mind we are newlyweds!) is whether tea is better made in a pot or in the mug.
