Only 1 week to go now until Bachmann announce another run of BR Blue split box 37 without skirts (ala 37049), a 40122 (D200) in green, a BR blue 47 with headlight and at long last a sealed beam 45/0 and 45/1 with headlight..... or I can carry on dreaming.
I think another livery 101 (Strathclyde orange or Regi Rail) might be done.
I asked the Bachmann rep at DEMU show if we could have some sealed beam peaks, I added that as they seem to like producing models on anniversary's now (30 years of NSE, 30 years of sector livery) that 2018/19 marks 30 years since the last peak's were withdrawn and 45106 was painted green. So how about a nice new 45/0, 45/1 with headlight and 45106 as maybe a limited edition? He made a note of it in his notepad, let's see.
I'd welcome an Eastfield split box next time, failing that an Eastfield centre box like 175, 188, 191, 264 would be nice. Or going down another route, getting some Heljan tops numbered 27s would be good.
Still no flush front or headlight fitted 45/1, ahh well next year is 30 years since withdrawal so you never know. 47444 vice a 45 on my passenger diagram it is then.
Yes I think it was, I remember seeing the line up on BBC railwatch where they had a Mainline 47 and mentioned shared passenger and parcels locos would be in that livery.
I love this layout and Perfect timing to see Cottleston on RM web. I've seen this layout at a couple of shows in the past, and vey recently I've been trawling the net for photos of the layout as I'm using it as a template (albeit with a slightly simplified track plan) for my own loft layout with the mod sidings, station and disused platform, although on my layout the truncated line beyond the level crossing will be a short occasionally used branch line to a small yard or nuclear flask unloading point. Any more shows planned for Cottleston?
Does anyone know if it's possible to order 2 of this product as a club member or is it limited to 1 per member. Both myself and a friend are interested in this model but both non members as yet,
