  1. Wilton has developed a rather odd habit of the speedo cable fouling - the eccentric fouls the speedo cable and locks the drive. Is the best option to bend the eccentric* because the corresponding anchor point on the body does not respond well to bending. Tim *Are the bits on the crankpin in the following order: 1. Wheel 2. Spacer 3. Eccentric 4. Locking bolt

  7. I just found someone selling liquid latex in 500ml containers on Ebay for £6.99 (post free) which is a bargain compared with Copydex The use of latex glue for static grass becomes viable at this cost and having wasted £££'s using Greenscenes' Scenic Cement aka matt medium, the use of liquid latex is essential. Tim

Introduced on the SR by Bulleid, the Tavern car sets were the precursor to the ubiquitous BR Mk1 catering sets. These coaches are Comet sides on Bachmann donor vehicles built by Chris White of SR Models. They are a good match for Bachmann revised BR (S) green and I have swapped the outer bogies for those with normal couplings. Tim

On Monday, I drove to Devon without a hat. Not a good move for a slaphead in a ragtop.

The hat was removed from the car in order to 'keep it tidy'

  18. Sellers with multiple accounts - what's all that about and what is to stop shill bidding? I cannot help but feel that anyone with multiple accounts is taking advantage, no matter how many excuses are provided. I sell all sorts on the one account, the only glitch was to change my identity due to a stalker who was a non paying bidder otherwise my Ebay account is open for all to see. I wonder if EBay offer a facility to check whether a seller has multiple personalities? Tim
  19. Nice to see that SR signals are making an appearance in 4mm - Tim
  20. Tatty buildings A clutch of typical Southern buildings that really need being bedded-in and a lot more detail, the inspiration came from Verwood (S&DJR) on the downside. I have some nice swan-neck lamps from Dart Castings and a few plants would not come amiss. Tim
  21. How did you resolve the incompatibility with the slide bars and crank throw? Tim
