  1. Hi Paul, bin awaiting the update and i'm very impressed the hopper is looking really smart now! And i see you used the magnet idea which we discussed the opther week a great tweak/idea and less messing/filling holes. Keep up the good work chap and i look forward to more updates. Thanks
  2. Looking really good Paul! And the bottom part in the hopper won't be seen anyway wheither running empty or loaded your doing a cracking job sir:) Thanks Rich.
  3. Hi Paul, Sounds good progressing well chap:) luckilly i'm not modelling the john summers ore hoppers its the Tunstead run i'm doing Michael with resin and etched hoppers which yes had a lot of wagons in tow but i saw it once at Hazel Grove with just seven wagons and two 37's! So could model that one but i'll build them up over time, i'll probably have a decent rake before those rtr ones are even going in to production! lol
  4. Good Evening Paul, shes looking sweet now really like the look of her in the last pic. Good to see your checking checking and checking again like it;) sooo pleased now theres finally a nice kit out of this my fav wagon bout time two! Thanks, Rich.

  6. Looking good chap, good luck with the soldering and more work needed hay? This isn't good is it atleast Dave is working with you and advising but seems to me like this is gona be an on going problem as the new batch will be exactly the same! Atleast anyone whos thinking of having a go will be more the wiser after seeing your fots and reading the details on the faults the kit comes with! Wonder if this is a good time to ring Dave up and go thru this lot before the ICI version goes for production as to avoid having to do all the extra work needed! Looking forward to more pics anyway. Rich.
  7. Looking good chap, good luck with the hopper and i forgot the rivets needed doing not the best of jobs i suppose:( anyway keep up the good work liking how the wagon is developing now:) Cheers Rich.
  8. Hi Paul, Yes with you on the looking at it stage always good to plan ahead before starting any kit especially with wagons like these the resin ones i've done take a bit of eyeing up from side on level as if you try and glue the hopper on straight to the body guaranteed one end will be wonky bit of playing about and judging is always the key rather than just going for it head on! Looking forward to more pics anyway. Cheers Rich
  9. WOW! Superb fots chap it looks amazing very neat and prim and proper two well impressed as for the buckle like you say you'd probably have to get your rivet counter specs on to clock it:) Loving the build so far your doing a cracking job sir. Looking forward to the hopper pics bet that parts gona be fun in it matey! Cheers, Rich.

  12. Yes i reckon it most likely is just a repro of the o gauge etch, tweaked maybe thou don't know any o gauge modellers who have a big ici hopper maybe a member would know?
  13. Looking good Paul, Wonder if roxey will sort these bogie issues out on there next batch or atleast on the ICI version! Cheers Rich.
  14. Looking good Paul, It does look fairly straight forward when layed out but i know these etchs are far from that! These kits can only be done by modellers who have experience, myself not been one but i'm following with interest and looking forward to some soldered parts pics:) Best Wishes, Rich.
  15. Hi Damian,ah ryt couldn't tell by looking the white looked factory applied not a kit which is sprayed up very good i like them, I had one in this scheme a few years ago but sold it for £180.00 to someone, definately wouldn't build another i've done most wagon kits and this one was a nightmare! I'll settle for dapols when they come out then and i'm unsure if there available yet they must just be a ltd edition run i curtainly don't want the blue up to date versions. Cheers, Rich.
  16. Superb set of pics Damian, the lighting is superb must try those bulbs also the grid looks the dogs boll**ks! The lighting shows her of very well with the soot streaks and rusty parts also liking the TO black Toton depot sticker under the drivers side cab window very nice gota come see this in the flesh again soon! Are those white bogie ECC's the kernow wagons? Must get some in the white livery if there still available? Many thanks, Rich.

  24. Hi Arnie, Yes i saw this on the bidding place it was done by making tracks yes, thou unsure why they added a red stripe around the fronts? See pic it stops on the cabsides like the model would of done before they re-numbered her! A nice addition you could apply thou would be yellow axle boxs and white springs as she had these painted on even in a grimey state kida! Cheers, Rich.
