I pre-ordered a couple of departmental full brakes but the order disappeared.
that made me check my trunk as I had a 6 wheel dept brake saved there, and weirdly all my LMS Genesis coaches were in there too, was not expecting that!
so I have **processed the order...
curious.
**update #2, they're now on their way, fantastic :-)
all the best,

It seems Hattons have made a bit of a pigs ear of things.
It would be helpful if they explained what has happened ?
all I know is my Genesis order, placed in Feb 2021, has disappeared when I log into my Hattons account, the order number and amount is still listed (along with my other 'shipped' orders of many years...), but when I click on the link (for my Genesis coach order) it takes me to 'page not found' error message...
I have emailed Hattons** to enquire about this...
**update #1, things do seem to be ok with my order, somehow it had ended up in my trunk, so fingers crossed now--thanks to Hattons too for picking up my email enquiry :-)
**update #2, now shipped, awaiting arrival 🤞
cheers,
Keith

While I'm here thanks to all those posting photos and keeping us stuck at home informed, keep it up.
I too am very grateful to all those posting pictures of layouts and updates on forthcoming models, I haven't been able to get to Warley for a very long time now so this 'virtual' attending via RMWeb is welcome.
I had my own little spree yesterday thanks to current TMC and Kernow offers (aka Christmas presents to me from various family members!), so kind of dipped into the spirit of things on the retail front too, again virtually, not quite the same I know but something all the same.
cheers,
Keith

Does Yeadons mention its time working in the Notts coalfield when it was fitted with group standard buffers and the number 985 was clearly visible under the paint? Oh! forgot to mention the spark arrester.
interesting, here

So, as the CFPS link has been confirmed, why are they doing it? Is there any element of fund raising for the society? Or do the members just want specific preservation era models to buy for themselves? As usual with KR Models there are more questions than answers, and the whole announcement seems rushed, with marketing copy not even properly proof read.
I have just had an email come (along with other CFPS members presumably) from the CFPS Chairman about the new KRM 40 project and models, from the OP press release I did not see mention of CFPS connection but perhaps it was in there somewhere and I just missed it...

They are 8mm wooden dowel on top of 20mm dowel bases. Just things I had spare that looked like various photos I’d been looking at. They have been painted in two coats of Dulux Trade cannonball*.
I’m fortunate in having a spares collection that is disproportionate to any projects I’ve actually completed.
*Somewhere there is a person whose job it is to name paint colours. As far as I can tell this must involve drinking until you think up a better term for ‘almost indistinguishable from black’.That's great, many thanks--it's a good way of handling a skew bridge which is what I am faced with too, I do like an arched skew bridge but the geometry baffles me (I remember seeing a template somewhere?) but the girder bridge looks very effective too, and your solution looks the part.

The columns under the bridge look great, are these proprietary items or home-made?
I'm looking into something similar for my layout, so watching your progress with interest.

Not sure about the layout, but for prototype examples Carnforth in the '70s is the obvious one, as is Immingham, as here, with BR Blue diesels:

many thanks @jhb171achil for this detailed information, so in essence six wheel stock of GSWR type works best for the Hattons designs.

I’m modelling Sleaford East Junction in the summer of 2019, the crossover of East Midlands Trains and East Midlands Railway. I have 4 Hornby Class 153’s, 4 Realtrack Class 156’s and 2 Bachmann Class 158’s which I think is enough; I did consider the new Hornby HST but it’s just too big.The 153’s can be used on the Peterborough - Lincoln service though one can be attached to a 156 for a Nottingham - Skegness service. The 156’s and 158 again for the Nottingham - Skegness service.
I have a pair of Hornby Class 60’s in DB Cargo and 21 Bachmann BYA’s for the Boston steel, a pair of Bachmann Class 66’s for the RHTT, plus others on order.
Have I got too much for the size of layout?
sounds good to me for the Wandleford Junction type set up mentioned earlier, and with a scenic section bookended between two overbridges 👍 after all it's not all level crossings in Lincolnshire!
cheers,
Keith

What was described as "crimson lake" is actually an extremely dark maroon.
This has got me thinking, something BCDR, perhaps based on Newcastle (Co Down), from a livery perspective which of the current Hattons' offering of 6-wheelers would work best for BCDR? The SECR ones? Or MR?
cheers,
