    LMS 10000

exactly! good way to change identities-- https://Bachmann-spares.co.uk/category/1-branchline-diesel-parts/lms-10000-10001/body-parts
  3. I had a SR green liveried one from the first run, a lovely looking loco but had the same issues of overheating etc so sent it back to Rails but instead of replacing it they returned it to me with even more lube all over it, so I sent it back for a refund, a shame really as I liked the look of it--I should have perservered by the sounds of it. I still have the SECR liveried version as it was not as bad as the SR one. I am about to sell up my SECR stock so good to know Ebay gets a decent sale price for these :-)
  4. 80 quid for a decent loco seems a fair price these days! I see HMC and KGR still have a few variants available at around this mark: https://kgrmodels.com/product/gv2012-oxford-rail-golden-valley-oo-janus-0-6-0-diesel-ncb-blue/ https://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=832_833_842_1062_1061

  9. for more prototype inspiration / operations, I recommend a look at the two vols of 'An Historical Survey of Selected London, Midland and Scottish ( LMS ) Stations: Layouts and Illustrations': https://www.amazon.co.uk/Historical-Selected-Midland-Scottish-Stations/dp/0860931684 plus the 'LMS lineside' vols https://wildswanbooks.co.uk/Books/LMS-Lineside1.htm
  10. looking good :-) I quite liked the kick back siding from the goods platform, fills that corner nicely? plus I wonder too if there is scope for a double track entry, often branchline termini had a siding that paralelled the main running-in line?
  11. that's a great prototype, ruralish LMS branchlines have a real charm, to me anyway! some more detailed maps plus photos here-- http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/n/newport_pagnell/

  19. anyone like me so inclined to do something about the worsening glare of modern headlights, here's a relevant petition: "Review the brightness of car headlights for safety The Government should launch a review into the problem of some headlights causing oncoming traffic drivers to be unable to see clearly and safely. The review should be conducted with car manufacturers to find solutions." https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/653793#
  20. and at night always made much worse when parked SUV (and van) drivers leaving their headlights on, facing traffic on the wrong side of the road, it's virtually blinding 😒
