  1. Hi 32475 I have an ABM LB&SCR signalbox kit unmade ready for an abandoned project. PM me if it’s of interest to you. Andy
  2. There’s a very similar suggestion for Eastoke as a 3rd rail terminus in the book “Modelling the British Rail Era”. It proposes 4VEP unit and an oil terminal (from memory) and is about 13’ with fiddle yard (again from memory). I do like your compact plan.
  3. Could the f/yard turntable be an add-on with door open when operating? This would gain an extra coach length on traverser.
  4. Have you tried Rogate on the Petersfield to Midhurst line?
  5. Hi Paul Many thanks for reply. I'd only seen cast ones before (Mikes models?). Andy
  6. Hi Paul This is currently my favourite layout on here. Just wondered the source of the water cranes(?). Andy
  7. That's brilliant. Thank you. Now I know which one to track down. Andy
  8. Hi. I'm hoping someone can help. I believe last year there was a 00 layout in 6x4 based on W. Awdry Thomas layout track plan. Can anyone tell me which month? Thanks in advance. Andy
  9. Is the writer Julian of this parish?
  10. I haven't seen the current edition but I believe it's illegal to take sand home from the beach unless permission is granted by the Environment Agency. Tut Tut https://gov.gg/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=2781&p=0
  11. Is it a complete coincidence that Bleat Wharf and Bethesda Sidings share the same track plan?
  12. Have you looked at this? Piano Line layout http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/24517-time-to-tune-the-piano/ Puck
  13. Bognor Regis, as I understand, was due to have had point machines fitted in mid 80's. One set (32 points) was done and then machines were used in Littlehampton; which still has mechanical platform stater signals. Bognor had a groundframe controlled run round on platform 3. Release from signal box and NO FPL on crossover. This was regularly used in late 80's by Pullman train on race specials. Bognor is still a mechanically signalled box with full point machines (bar sidings) with the exception of the 'home' signal. Hope this helps. Puck
  14. Could possibly add a shunt signal suggesting exit from siding back to main line? Excellent modelling as always. Regards Puck
  15. Hi. I seem to recall a layout in Modelling Railways Illustrated around October 1995 similar to this. I believe it was also called Selsey town (?). If memory serves they included freight branches to submarine base. Maybe someone could enlighten? Good luck with your layout. Puck
  16. Hi. Wondered how this one's going? Puck
  17. Littlehampton? Todays station is pretty much Minories but in times past had goods facilities along river Arun
  18. Hi I've always liked the look of the Iain Rice plan. I've never quite worked out the freight side of this one. It seems a bit strange to use the In road for runround moves and double shunt back into platform to leave station; unless another crossover deemed of stage? I look forward to watching your progress with this as it looks like my kinda thing.
  19. Could the harbour somehow clip onto edge of board to enable circuit?
  20. Hi Pete Your bridge arrangement will be like that at Angmering-on-sea. Puck

Hi. In my experience, mechanical signals tend to have wooden boards at the base to allow access to cranks/wires. Nice layout. Puck
