I've got a few bits from Contikits, a good place to source 2nd hand items.

I used Basarvalira to purchase an N gauge Startrain CC7100 electric. I was specifically after CC7140 which appears to have a premium, so was delighted to get hold of it. Service was not especially fast but the loco was packed very well and I had no extras to pay when it arrived. Interestingly it was posted in Spain! I would definitely recommend them.
Pierre Dominique has a sale on at the moment with some heavy discounts on both HO and N locos and stock. I am trying to resist a Sybic electric at 69 Euros but these HO ones are only 49!

They also have a couple of cheap BB17000:

There are also some cheap diesels and coaches listed as well.

I've just "won" a French Railway timetable and allowing for inflation I must have paid at least five times the list price. What's worse, the times of trains have changed quite a lot in the past sixty years and most of the lines I wanted to travel on seem to have been dismantled. The timetable is completely out of date and useless so what madness induced me to bid for it ?
Whatever you do, don't catch the train from Pau to Canfranc!
-
Look forward to seeing this develop based on the excellent work you have done on the 210 and 321.

I wouldn't mind a second NSE one. I had hoped that after all the slating the model had got the prices would start falling but it doesn't look like they have.

Fingers crossed...

Blimey, that was stressful!

Have put this one on watch, a conversion of a 3 car 166 into a 2 car 165. Very unhelpful photos and a highly optimistic price. If it goes for this, maybe I should sell mine...

Looks nice what you've done, I think Gareth from Trains4U did a similar modification at the bottom of page 10:
http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/17158-Hornby-class-423-4-vep/page__st__250
I would recommend lowering the headcode numbers as they should not be set in the middle of the window. I know it's a problem with the Hornby transfers (I ended up cutting a set of Heljan class 33 headcodes to fit)

You may wish to look through pages 15 - 25 (approx) of this huge thread. They show various modifications covered by various members (including myself).

Photos please!
Oh, and welcome to the forum!

This is all off the top of my head but the first batch of three car units were of the later batch of the 150/1. (150140-150150?). The 150/1's were eventially repainted into the Provincial livery that the 150/2's had so that they matched.
The Centro ones were a later reformation and were from the first lot of 150/1's eventially being renumbered to 150/0's.
I'm sure someone can give a more accurate response!

How many of these bodies have been produced? These have been for sale from the 47401 project group for years now!
-
Are there any NSE ones on 'special offer'?
-
"Very reluctant to let go, but at the price i've set i think its fair. Especially when we all loss up to 15% to fees for ebay and paypal."
Bless him.

And who said there were no bargains to be had on ebay...

I'll hang on for the A batch then. Cheers for the replies chaps. I have eight railfreight and one metals one at the moment - just looks a little on the short side behind a pair of 37's (502 &507).
Nice looking wagons.
-
Does anyone know of anywhere that still has the Railfreight livery ones (38-352) available? I could do with another couple to go with my rake. I'm getting the impression that these were the most popular of the three releases.

Not 'Madness' but an interesting item. A 'Railsyle/Lima' 4TC. Looks nice, says it was made by Alton Model Centre. Never heard of Railstyle but i'm guessing it's an MJT conversion.

Looking forward to seeing this being one stop down the line!

Damn, why did I waste my money on a Bachmann one when I could have saved £30 and had this...
-
Well done... I'm in agreement with everyone else on it being a really nice job (and we all know it will run nicely too)... can't help thinking that this should have been the variant that Bachmann should have done - those lovely bright livery options - but never mind you have got one all to yourself.... enjoy
Hopefully sods law will now come in to play and they'll announce one in March!

I see. The non-AC ones are still quite a good price. I've managed to resist the N gauge one for a couple of weeks though my resistance is weakening!
