  4. Funnily enough I just stumbled across this. If your little angel wants James for birthday/Christmas you could Buy It Now for £85.99 + £3.95 p/p http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R852-Thomas-and-Friends-loco-James-/190564208865?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2c5e8310e1 Then again you could do a quick search in the interweb and get: http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/productdetail.asp?productcatalogue=125297 Yours for £65.99 and free p/p
  5. My wife's constantly amazed by this kind of thing (not only in model railways) but the number of times you see people bidding like this is amazing. Sometimes you have to look elsewhere than Ebay but a quick search will often show up a guide price that you should not exceed. Like they say, 'a fool and his money......'
  6. Another refreshingly honest one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMA-2-CAR-117-CONVERSION-LOT-6-/270810740158?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2616422409041889468

  8. £725 for Heljan crane? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heljan-CONTAINER-TERMINAL-OPERATING-CRANE-/150651576023?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2313889ed7 And this for £650? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heljan-Container-Crane-Terminal-FREE-UK-P-P-/120770093096?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c1e756028
  9. Up on the roof - Kenny Lynch in UK, Drifters in US
  10. Kit went for £180.99....
  11. £7.50 for delivery - I'd expect it to come at Deltic speed for that.
  12. Have you seen Vanessa Redgrave lately?
  13. That lorry looks VERY lightly weathered if you ask me.
  14. Is it just me, or is this guy really hopeful that someone will want all 5 of these Heljan locos enough to shell out £80 quid each for them? He says he won't split but will anyone even start the bidding at £400? There's not enough margin there to buy the lot and re-sell the ones you don't need IMHO http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Different-Heljan-Locomotives-Joblot-/160646112240?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item25674123f0
  15. I think they keep them in reserve for storming teacups... I'll get my coat
  16. Are you SURE Travel Planner said non-stop to Betelgeuse?
  17. Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles
  18. In excellent A1 condition...front buffers broken off and missing. Presumably this guy thinks there's an A0 condition for a complete one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Late-BR-2-6-4T-Thompson-L1-67722-R2914-/280733141699?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item415cffcac3 Oh and he can't guarantee there aren't any small parts missing but it's 'A1' - no pic to show the actual state just a pic of box (which is in good condition)
  19. I've found the loco that would have pulled the yellow-fronted autocoach. No prizes for guessing who's selling it...... and no surprises that the ubiquitous 'code 3' features in the spiel..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRFIX-No-54153-GWR-Class14XX-0-4-2T-TANK-LOCO-CODE-3-/260845829817?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2515000373248018000
  20. Yes indeed, R2370 set with Duchess of Sutherland loco and these coaches
