  1. That is where the RMweb is also can be used for. To share information. I like that.
  2. Your modelling with plastic card is excellent, so for me there is no use of changing your method. But if you want to experiment, try some brick papers first. I think you can make the wall with your Silhouette Portrait cutter from thin MDF. Then you have sharp edges and accurate window and door openings.
  3. A nice entry with the step by step explanation how you created your loco. Looks very good. Looking forward to the finished model.
  4. The shops will have natural daylight. So in the end the interiors will be just there. But I have found another method to show my finished diorama. I will try that out on this one.
  5. Station Road Part one I started a new project. Another street-scene with three shops using three kits of Petite Properties “Low relief (front) no. 12 Station Road; 1:76th. I will use textures from Scalescenes, Smart Models (just the curtains) and signs and textures from internet. The name-signs I create using Publisher. The shops are situated on Station Road in Northall, just around the corner of the Station Inn on Church Street. Opposite are some shops under railway arches. The first shop I have finished is the Tobacco shop of Emily Robbins. The shop has a shop window display made from pictures I found on internet. I gave the shop also an interior, although this will not be really visible. interior. The shop. The roof is just for the picture. Final weathering will be done when all shops are finished. The white piece on the frontdoor is just a small piece of paper, which I already removed. Comments and advice are as usual welcome. Kind regards and happy modelling Job
  6. Lovely layout with good quality build card models. Looking forward to more progress.
  7. Thank you. I print my textures always on high quality water resistant photo paper. For the colouring I used deluded Vallejo and AK paints, pastels, pigments and some eyeshadows.
  8. Great modelling and lovely weathered.
  9. I have finished my Church Street diorama. Another street in my fictitious town of Northall. I started to create a base. The base is build up with 3cm high card strips on a MDF base. First, I finished the Assurance Agency. I used textures from several Scalescenes kits. To finish my diorama, I had to add some pavement in front of the Assurance office. There were also some minor gaps, between the building and the street, I had to fill in. I used some Woodland scenic earth to fill it and gave it some colour with olive green pastel. I also added some grass from Mini Natur against the wall to the back yard and on the corner of the shop. Finally, I placed my British Railway van in front of the pub. This van I will use on all my diorama’s and can easily be replaced by another car. It is Western based and fits in the right area. Using the van in every layout will give the illusion of a delivery route for the van. For the picture, with just the diorama, I was inspired by the website of Petite Properties. I think this can be improved by learning how to use my photo program better. The other two pictures give a street view of Church Street. One is the original picture I made, the other one is photoshopped to create a late 1950’s look. Suggestions and comments are welcome. Regards, Job
  10. For the van, I used some suggestions from an AK book called ‘Track and Wheels’. I used a semi-gloss varnish and paint from their track and wheel set. I still can learn. So, I like your corrections on the use of my English. I hope I still can improve. Thanks for the complement for my late 1950’s picture.
  11. A lamp post doesn’t fit in my design this time. The focus should be on the British Railways van and the Assurance sign.

  13. That's one of the great parts for me of modelling. Time based research translated in some nice story telling.
  14. Looking forward to the finished model.
  15. Thanks, Mikkel. Actually the door was the easy part. I have a nice collection of pictures of doors of different era's. This one suited really in this building. I'm also pleased with the result of the stucco. But I'm also pleased with the Regency wooden window shutters behind the top windows.
  16. Thanks. For the stucco I used a natural sponge and then I used a soft paintbrush from the underside to the top.
  17. A quick update I start with a quote of Pablo Picasso: “I always do things that I cannot do to learn how I have to do it” I have finished the front of my Georgian building. I used Marshalswick House from Petite Properties as a base. I used again textures from Scalescenes printed on a textures Hahnemühle photo paper. (Un)fortunately something went wrong when I tried to give the building some weathering the first time. Here it is where I remembered the quote of Picasso. I knew that the printed textures where water resistant. So, to correct the damage I painted the building using diluted Vallejo paint. The result was satisfying. After the paint was dry I used pastels to weather the building to give it an old appearance. The building will be placed in Church Street when finished, as an office for an insurance agency. As always comments and suggestions are much appreciated Job
  18. I love the scenes with the figures. You have created a lovely station, worth waiting for a train to ....
  19. Unfortunately, the Quarrymen are playing somewhere in Liverpool. But maybe the Drifters from Newcastle are available. They did a good job in a music content in London. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=don%27t+be+a+fool+with+love.+the+drifters+uk&&view=detail&mid=BFC17EF34F3A0742F71EBFC17EF34F3A0742F71E&rvsmid=66470B3FACDCCE96B9AC66470B3FACDCCE96B9AC&FORM=VDQVAP
  20. Service was great, but there was sometimes a lack of costumers. See also the note Elizabeth has left for the owner of the pub Billy Kelly: " Unfortunately, I have received a cancel for Saturday evening on 29 August from our local band the Captains. They will play at the Great Eastern pub in Bridge Street. That evening there is also a rock and roll demonstration there. We must do it with the jukebox once again. Elizabeth"
  21. Thanks Grahame. They have a website and have recently created some 1:148 models; https://www.petitepropertiesltd.com/
