Hi Pete I just had a quick look back no idea why I did not say it was changing senior moment you know me nice and simple this one has just one point it's something different DMUs & a small parcel depot just waiting for the Dapol 08. when easybuild bring out there 101 and that's it for units need two more parcel vans might get another loco still got to finish my 33 kit post more latter. Bit more done today finished canopy put a coat of paint on think it's about as close to looking like asbestos just needs weathering started the other board might get some ballast next week

Started the canopy today just got to do the edge then paint it back to work tomorrow so slow down on the modeling

I managed to do a bit on the layout these last few days

Hi The last two days done a bit more sorted the couplings between the BGs and loco I reduced the length of the corridor connecter work's perfect with screw link.wired the track tested and painted platform edge glued on placed the low relief building's along the back there will be a platform the length of 2 coaches for the parcel depot.

Hi I also have kadees between my easybuild BGs what coupling do you use between loco and BG as I cannot see the hook to use screw coupling. Thanks Steve -
Hi Randall I use Rail match acrylics I get on better with them than enamel they are brush painted the yellow is enamel as I already got that.the transfers are from railtec-models.com. Steve

I have put kadees 742 medium between the BGs looking at the coupling between loco & coach there's not much room to use the 3link plus you cannot see the hook because of the corridor if I am to use kadee what size will I need or is they another system I can use. Many thanks Steve

Well managed to do a bit more the 31 I have to paint the buffers &beam black then next big job is on my knees looking for the red tail light lens which fell out rang Heljan UK not got any the BGs just little bits to put on then I will make a start on the layout.transfers are from Railtec. Steve

There could be all that smoke/ash and hissing coming soon then now you are one step nearer to that period ?

The BG coaches are now painted just minor parts to put on its a big thank you to Simon(Simond)for telling me about frog tape i got the yellow one what a big difference crisp line between the blue/grey it will make putting the white line on better.the 31 is starting to look better yellow ends done should get the first coat of blue on latter. Steve

Done a bit more today the 2 BGs have got the primer on.I started doing the 31 putting the extra bits on to bring it up to my period from PH Designs first coat of primer now on started building a waiting room still lots to do

Hi Simond I always use the paper stuff not had any problems yet? I did try some of the Tamiya tape a few years ago it tuck the paint off and in place the glue stuck on the body. Steve

Hi cromptonnut When I did my 108 & 121 I did the masking by looking at a pictures of the units so it was guess work but as it turned out it was spot on with the white lining from Railtec as long as you take your time you should be ok the one good thing with masking tape is you can take off and try again. Steve

Hi Craig Mine was okay I glued ends & sides to the roof and have the floor loose i do the opposite to what the instructions say I had half mm gap and just filled the gap with filler did the same with my 121 & 108 hope that helps Steve

Hi cromptonnut Yes they are easy to build they are going to be painted B/G I was thinking of doing one all over blue but I will be getting some more so one of them can be blue. Steve

Hi Craig It was good to make it great show yes I did see the 101 it looks good had a chat with Shawn still more work to do on it I was only there for about 3 hours as son in law took me so got my stuff had a look at the layouts which was great wish I had more space sorry no picture's I will have a lot to do when my hand gets better.did you go?. Had a good day at Bristol on Sunday picked up 2 easybuild BGs,Skytrex resin buildings,platform edges,kadees,cobalt digital point motor and a laser cut waiting room kit then I have the 31 which has got to be painted but still cannot make a start been to hospital today about my hand i have got a hairline fracture so another month off

Been to hospital today not good air line fracture on hand so back to hospital 1st march no work or modeling
