  1. Putting my baseboards frm Tim

  2. Looking forward to seeing this at DEMU next month. Remember seeing it at Warley a few years back but couldn't really get close enough to see it properly though! Regards
  3. Very nice a Terry. Did you decide against motorised bogies in the end?
  4. Cheers for the advice mate. I'm in no rush to get them done so I'll just take my time. The BRM article mentioned about 50 hours per build if I remember correctly.
  5. Very nice Terry. I've got 2 of these to build at some point. Are there any tips you can give me please?
  6. Very nice Dave. This has got to feature in a magazine please!! Hello BRM.
  7. I'll take a sound fitted DMU in FGW livery but I don't want the 4mm version of Charlie thanks!
  8. My baseboards have arrived!...I better get cracking then

Better you than the baseboards? oO

  9. Mr Horn's baseboards have arrived!...I better get cracking then

  10. Thanks Dave. With some negativity regarding Peco code 75 on some other threads I think layouts like yours show how good code 75 can be. Very nice work, an inspiration to many. Regards
  11. Apologies if this has been asked before but what track have you used on WW?
  12. Loving that video....but where were all the other (passing) trains?! Lol
  13. Massive +1 for this company. Ordered a number of items late yesterday afternoon and delivered this morning at 10. Faultless and highly recommended. Usual disclaimer - no connection just a (very) satisfied customer.
  14. Very nice Dave. Those MRA's are some of the best wagons out there ATM. Do you have any auto-ballasters that you can add to the rake? Look forward to a video of the MRA's idc. Regards
  15. A couple of months is pushing it a bit tbh. Design and manufacturing can and is normally done across international borders. Once an EP sample is produced it's sent to the company for amendment(s). It is very rare for anything to be accurately produced first time. The tooling may need to be adjusted or modified. The artwork has to be made. When everything is signed off a slot needs to be assigned and this all depends on what the factory may also be producing...then shipping. It all adds up and takes time. I desperately want this loco too but I'd rather wait and they get it right than have an inferior model. I hope that model railway manufacturers don't go down the route that software developers do ie. release games that need multi GB patches on day one! - Playstation and Xbox owners will know what I'm saying!
  16. I've never heard of an 'altered amount claim'. So, does the credit card company simply refund the difference without question?

    New OO gauge Class 73

According to the Dapol website the 73 is at the decoration stage...
  18. Agreed Nick. The Dapol Westerns were pretty decent IMHO as well.
  19. Thats some mighty fine work there. Thanks for sharing the tips. I've just ordered a load of the component parts so that I can make my own trees following your instructions. I'll post my progress in du course.
  20. I recollect receiving an email from them a couple of weeks ago stating that they would be. Amongst other things they are offering decoder fitting on their stand. I'll see if I've still got the email... Edit: link to their Facebook page. See the entry dated 27 Feb. You do not need an account to view the page. https://www.facebook.com/hattonsmodelcentre
  21. Dare I suggest that had the increases been minimal then Hattons may have absorbed them and honoured the pre-order price but as the increases are fairly hefty even they can't afford to take a hit like that. From a customer perspective it is annoying that pre-order prices are not honoured but personally I think it's the manufacturers that are to blame; they announce products with lead times in excess of two years sometimes! I cancelled all my pre-orders for that very reason and will make a decision on a purchase at the time of release.
