  1. Hi Scott, Thanks, yeah after seeing a few photos lately of 33029 in action recently around it's old stomping grounds i couldnt resist I have a DCR 56 arriving this week hopefully too! The last few times i have been to Eastleigh Tuesday definately seemed to be the busier day, unfortunatley i'm back on shift from tomorrow otherwise i would have been down there. I'm off shift next Tuesday though so will probably be making a visit then. Cheers Arnie
  2. Afternoon, A couple of new arrivals to Arnash this weekend, to bolster my more up to date fleet. They are WCRC's 47787 and 33029. Here's a pic of them on shed being checked over in readyness to start work, and also some other shots I was messing around with. 3. I will see what i can do mate. I have just fitted my Network Rail 57 with Legoman sound, so she may star in it Cheers Arnie
  4. Hi Andy, I'm into early 80's Post/Punk music mostly bands like The Cure, The Chameleons and Killing Joke. The bands i have played in lately mix a bit of those influences with the 90's shoegaze sound i.e lots of guitar effects which i love! I do like 33035 in NSE livery i wish they had painted a few more 33's up in it. I made sure i pre ordered the Bachy NSE 47 as i though it may be a popular loco, keep an eye on Ebay though as i've seen a few on there. I also have the Vi Trains NSE 47587 Ruskin College Oxford which i have still to finish fitting replacement Lazerglaze to as yet. What are your ideas for your new project? Cheers Arnie
  5. Hi Andy, Yeah i wish i could go back in time for a visit to Eastleigh back then, i didn't get back into railways until around 2007ish so i missed most of the good stuff I still have lots of memories when i was a lad though in the 80's trainspotting with my dad. I will never forgot seeing class 50's thumping by on our visits to Iver and West Ealing, and also numerous visits to Old Oak Common. Great Days!! What kind of music did the bands you were in play? I'm actually between bands at present as the guitarist from my previous band has moved to Germany so we deceided to call it a day. I look forward to seeing your new project come together! Best Regards Arnie
  6. Hi Alex, Thanks, yeah bit of a change but i fancied a bit of a more modern feel after my trips to Eastleigh last month. I promise there will not be too many sheds appearing, just a Colas one at present as i like the livery! I do still have most of my BR stock intact just boxed up at the moment. We are going to be moving this year so i have begun packing up my locos and bits in readiness to save time when the move does happen. Not sure whats going to happen to the layout, i keep changing my mind whether to save the mostly finished depot scenic side and incorporate it into another layout or rip it all up and start a whole new layout when were setttled into a new home. Arnash was the first time i have ever had ago at building any kind of layout and there are lots of things that annoy me about it and things i wish i could change! So i may well start again. I do still have a Loadhaul grid actually so there will still be some grid action to see Cheers Arnie
  7. The 37's got a Legoman V4 chip fitted. Cheers Arnie
  8. No probs mate, look forward to seeing what colour combos you can come up with Cheers Arnie
  9. Thanks Marcus, The OBA's are my favourite wagons to weather up. Picking out all those wooden panels with various colours Cheers Arnie
  10. Thanks Scott, still think i need a few more wagons for the rake though! Wouldnt mind getting one of those kit conversions from Intercity models for the Bachmann OBA wagon. This replaces the wooden sides with mesh, i have seen a quite a few of these at Eastleigh which have been converted. Cheers Arnie
  11. Evening, I have been busy today finishing of weathering my new rake of ballast wagons. Instead of some pictures here's a video or 2. The first is Colas 47749 hauling the new rake and the second is DRS 37409 hauling a short rake of Network Rail IOA wagons. Cheers Arnie
  12. Love the latest pics, Looking awesome! Arnie
  13. Hi Rob, No I have most of them still but all boxed up at the moment. It's actually the wagons that are around in the current scene that I'm fascinated with the most, especially the departmental and spoil trains I've been seeing at Eastleigh lately. The mix of new type MHA and MTA and battered old OCA and OBA wagons is great, some of them are in an awful state! I'm currently weathering and putting together a departmental rake for the layout and will post pics soon. Cheers Arnie
  14. Evening, Just spent some time weathering up my first MOA wagon, which will eventually be part of a rake of these fine wagons. I'm still deciding if to add some graffiti to it? Alot of the pictures i have been studying of them show that quite a few of them are plastered in the stuff nowaday's! Here's a pic, Cheers Arnie Ex EWS MOA Wagon by Arnington, on Flickr
  15. Thanks Scott, yeah the last couple of times I've been to Eastleigh it has been great, always lots to see. I definitely wouldn't mind a DCR 31 and I'm pleased to see that Hornby have announced a Colas 56 this year. Cheers Arnie
  16. Evening, After a few trips to Eastleigh in December i fancied a change and decided to go all upto date at Arnash. So some loco's were sold and now some new loco's and wagon's have arrived. I've also had a bit of a change around loco shed wise and now have two. One of them is based on the TMD at Peterborough which i'm still messing around with. I warn you i do have a different kind of shed on the layout too and it's in Colas livery! Here's a few pic's. 18. Cheers 66, Sorry to hear your going through pain also mate! I've definatley had enough of visits to the dentist
  19. Cheers mate, Yeah i would of gone for having the tooth out if it was at the back but it's right at the front at the bottom
  20. Afternoon, Thanks guy's. Well stage 2 of the root canal has been postponed now till December as i had such a bad infection the dentist couldn't fill the tooth permantely until evertything settles down. So i'm stuck with a temporary dressing in my tooth at the moment but the best thing is that i'm currently in no pain.... yay and because of that i've had ago at renumbering one of my peaks to a favourite of mine 45119, which had the NSE flash applied to its nose. Here's a pic of 119 passing light engine. Cheers Arnie Class 45119 by Arnington, on Flickr
  21. Evening, Here's a few pics i took today after a running session trying to take my mind of the pain from root canal treatment i had a few day's ago. The actual root canal was painless, it's the pain i've experienced afterwards that's been the worst part! Going back Tuesday for stage 2 and not looking forward to it at all Arnie 60021 by Arnington, on Flickr 47580 by Arnington, on Flickr 26037 by Arnington, on Flickr
