  1. Has anyone used their wife's eye-shadow to weather card buildings and/or rolling stock?

      Those makeup-powder sets at various "Pound shops" are useful for weathering, so long as you steer clear of the flourescent examples. Cheap hairspray can also be used as a fixative. You can also get useful packes of brushes for applying the stuff from the same source too.

       

      Just try not to look embarassed at the checkout....

      Thanks Hroth, I thought the greys & browns might be useful, swimbo absolutely, on pain of death, forbade me to use her stuff, so poundshop is the the place for me. I was worried they might be too oily, but I suppose that helps it adhere?

      Its only a pound, get something that looks suitable and try it out on the back of your hand before applying it to expensive models! Just keep the receipt in case SWMBO queries its provenance!
