  1. RE: Bridges I'm reading that as a tunnel portal - so no deck or brick arch? - anyway it looks a bit plain and I'm sure Mr. 'Scalescene' could do much better?
  2. I'd like to back you on the bridges... A nice plain brick arch double track job would be ideal - apart from the 'Prototype Models' (I think) kit which was a GC brick combo I can't think of another example???
  3. That would just spoil the fun
  4. I see you have the usual display of household modelling items... talc - check sewing machine oil - check Chilli - what's that for.?. PS oh and nice unit body by the way - lovely B)
  5. That would be the RP Mr. Cholmondley-Warner Great clip though.
  6. Not sure but a bit of photo research on the Southern E Group / Southern Electric Group / Hants and Sussex units Pres. Soc. etc etc... might help with a rough idea at least
  7. Daft question... but why are there 2 prices for the '2H units'? (apart from the sound version that is) one at just under £110 and one just under the £150 mark... does that suggest a '3H' unit? Just I have not seen it mentioned??? Forgive me if this is just my wishful thinking
  8. Bravo ... I never thought I'd see that modelled:icon_clap: ... does the fire box door open too... I'll get my coat
  9. Ratio? ... do you mean Replica? either way I'm looking forward to seeing a 'toothpaste' duff... I have never been keen on early NWSE on 47's... I think the later style suited them better... but that's just my opinion - whatever your choice I shall be looking with interest.
  10. Two 10 car 'Wessie' sets passing each other... now that sounds peachy
  11. super lumber work guys... can we see some pics of the 'plastic pigs' progress? (as well as the layout of course)
  12. Excellent work there Mr. Pugley... further to your comment to the sanding sticks - I think 'squadrons' sanding sticks are the bees knees too but might I add (I got this recommendation from a talented aero/railway modeller who is a wizz with plastic - sorry Paul if you're reading this) the products from 'flexifile' - they do sanding sticks like 'squadrons' but the flexifile itself is a natty abrasive strip held in a metal frame which is great for sanding off curves - you probably wouldn't need it on this model but once used never forgotten.
  13. Looks like a 'Doodlebug' to me... ...I'm very dissapointed that this thread isn't about 'Footex's'! by the way
  14. To be fair we have been kept very well informed - both on the forums and from the 'horses mouth' as were (the Kernow website)- Paience is virtue and good things come to those that wait :icon_wave:
  15. Cripes!!! well there you go... I didn't know it was presently possible when I predicted that - and the technology is bound to improve... I wonder what else I can predict. The 3.30 at Kempton perhaps
  16. I agree... my time frame is 1990 so I want em' clean but I'd like em' 4mm to 1' clean
  17. Me like... but I'm wanting a nice clean one. Is the 'shine' issue sorted (i.e. the level of reflection) Mr DD?
  18. I cut the Hornby coupling off and replace with a No 5. Seems to work ok :icon_thumbsup2:
  19. One or two more opinions here... http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=42997&p=655200&hilit=seacows#p655200
  20. Nice... I like the oily, faded, mucky, worn and generally unkempt feel of your work... if it were a horse I'd report you to the RSPCA!
  21. Was confused, now less so - but perhaps more confussion later!
