Put Loco on track. Apply power. Swear at Loco when nothing happens. Feel silly when you notice controller is not plugged in. Plug in and enjoy!

  15. Thank you very much, it had never occurred to me that I could use horse hair for something like that. I'll certainly give this a go! Cheers James
  16. I think I read somewhere on the thread (or it might have been a different one) that horse hair can be used to get "bramble-like" effects, but the pale grass mixed with the brambes definetly gives a layout a cold scottish feel!
  17. Well, I should be there Looking forward to seeing it!
  18. This is a fantastic looking layout! Looking forward to seeing it at Model Rail Scotland! Just to ask, what did you use for the grass growing up between the sleepers? Cheers, James

  20. Ah right, thanks Andy, that's a good idea! What is the fence in front of your single road depot? Cheers, James
  21. Hi Andrew, just to say a fantastic looking layout, you certainly work much faster than I do! If you don't mind, can I ask, did you make the fence in this photo, or did you buy it? And if you bought it, where from? I have been desperate to get some of this for the front of my layout. http://tinyurl.com/4xbwrd4 Thanks, James
  22. Hi Grimley, Just to say you have a fantastic looking layout! If only I had the room...... As a fellow TMD modeller I will be following this with interest. It would be fantastic to see this one on the exhibition circuit. Keep up the great work!! James
  23. Hi there, Your Class 377 looks fantastic! I've never seen the class "face to face" but they look really good! I'm a regular visitor to your website for Wells Green and it's a really good layout, something I want to achieve eventually with my new layout.
