  3. Thank you for asking Sir, Well, not much at all in the way of train sets really, in fact the nearest I've got anywhere near anything like one is the purchase of a book by some chap called Castens about an old midland locomotive and some crazy Vicars. Other than that, I've been creating a money pit in the form of building a brand new (and up to date) computer. I must apologise to all the chaps for jumping off on massive tangents and disappearing occasionally, although some whinging going on over on the EM-Gate thread coincided with me having the odd browse the other day. I couldn't leave without comment. TTFN
  4. I know, I'm sure I mentioned it to mem sec about using PayPal (and the South Western Circle too). It would instantly generate more members, certainly amongst the 'impulse buy' brigade (of which I count myself). The trade function of the society takes PayPal, it's crazy membership doesn't too. Commit yourself Cheers

  6. I think ours might stay this year, I guess the next couple of weeks will be the decider. They've normally made their decision by now here but I think the extraordinary summer we've had has kept them around longer (and we feed them - 0.5kg a day of sunflower hearts). Love a Goldie
  7. Lost count at 18 Goldies in the garden this morning, from the three broods over the summer. The odd Coal Tit is making an appearance too. As always, no photos (yet )
  8. "Scratchy End" as it's destined to be a branch line terminus
  9. I've had worse from a pussy
  10. ...and an illustration of how work and I got on when I got here.
  11. Oh, back to work this morning after two weeks off (holiday). This is the best image I could find to sum up my thoughts as I was attempting a good enough reason to get up.
  12. Are you thinking of Farthing & Short, purveyors of the finest quality white goods and all things electric (all 3 of them) ? No idea if they are still there in Midsomer Norton, I moved to Bath just before the actual supply of electricity reached there.
