Mike's alright; I did some sessions with his bass player Laurence; it's THAT album that sticks out as being so far from his original masterpiece...

Aaah! With you now Grafar! I must admit I like listening to him when I want to really relax & unwind - quite often Tub Bells 3 does it for me - quite a repetitive, pulse(ish) speed rhythm that can drift me away!

  2. I got my first real six string - bought it at the five & dime.

Some members of RMweb have become highly elevated in my view. Well done lads = the greatest rock band of the last 38 years. And yes, Clockwork Angels is overdue!!

This was wandering it's way through my mind earlier on, as things tend to (!), so I put up the opening lines as above. I went off to do the school run this afternoon and just what was that song so elusive already lined up on the stereo??? !!!! Made my day, that did!!!

Physicsman - thank you sir! I had noticed that there are persons within this web with rather good musical taste! As sayeth the gentlemen of Rainbow - 'LONG LIVE ROCK & ROLL!!'

  4. I was lost till you were found; But I never knew how far down I was falling before I reached the bottom.

But there's a border to somewhere waiting; and there's a tankful of time; oh give me just another moment to see the light of the day!

This song is one I've loved since I first heard it back around 78/9 - I hear it today & it's just as fresh as then!

Anyhow, he's got a new album due out in March - 'Hell in a Handbasket'! Can't wait for that!

  5. I must agree with the afore mentioned comments! I have always found their service to be excellent, cheerful, knowledgeable & if you're unsure of something they give you the information without you feeling like a right plonker (one shop my wife went into to buy me a locomotive from were disparaging, belittling and effectively the staff and other customers took the proverbial with her - their shop has since closed down & they're now mail order only)!! My Christmas present this year was the Hornby class 43 NMT - KMRC rang on Dec 21st to say it was in stock - Dec 22nd my wife had it hidden & under wraps!!! In all, although live in sunny Brum, I regard KMRC as my local model railway shop! Charles.
