  5. I remembe seeing it at Wallingford and managed to get a couple of pics of it but I have to admit I hadn't realised it was the same loco! Was hoping it would be put on a plinth outside Reading station as it would have a been a nice tribute to the towns Heritage. Although seeing it running would have been better but we cant have everything. Very sad to hear it was sold and now with an unsecure future. Can only hope it gets what is deserved. A loving home. Regards Trailrage
  6. Managed to get alook at the H&P loco photo today. Turns out my Nan had brought it home for my father has had it since he was young. Its just he forgot he had it and had dug it out when she came round that day which was the first time I saw it. the photo looks like its an official one but there is no info on the pic itself so no idea when or whereabouts at the factory it was taken or who may of even taken it. It is indeed one of fireless loco no1 which I'm guessing was Biscuit 1. Its difficult to tell if the loco is actually in use or if the photo was staged but there is a Driver in the cab. the loco looks Brand new so could be a publicity photo there was also a photo of the builders plate whish says W.G.BAGNALL Ltd ENGINEERS No 2473 STAFFORD, ENGLAND. But it has no year stamped on it so am unsure when it was built. I took a photo of the photo and if I could figure out how to post it on here I would, that is as long as it wouldn't infringe on any copyright. Cheers Trailrage
  7. My late Nan worked for Huntley & Palmers in Reading. I remember when she retired she came round to my mum and dads with a black and white Photograph of one of the loco's used there. I think it may have been one of the fireless loco's but its been a long time since I've seen it . Think the H & P one will be something special for me for that very reason, so looking forward to getting one. Cheers Trailrage
  8. Aswad Aswad 1st album Max Romeo war Inna Babylon
  9. Still have all 3 or my VGA kits running. one of the first kits that I ever built. I'm guessing that must have been around 91. Think I bought it at Bath Road open day. Cheers Roythebus. Trailrage
  10. Some beautifull looking models there 81017 very lucky indeed! Thanks for sharing them Trilrage
  11. I've oredered 74010. The missus said I should shut up and just order the weathered version as I would regret it later if I hadn't! So being under the thumb and all, I did what she said! Cheers Trailrage
  12. Really looking forward to my 2 71's arriving. Having a real hardtime with the modellng Mojo right now. Think this might just be what the DR ordered. Thank you Dave for taking a big risk to deliver what are probably the best looking models I will ever own. Except the weathered 74 I've just ordered!
  13. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Leigh for getting the replacement wagon out to me so quickly spoke on Saturday arrived on Monday! Top service there. A much obliged and humbled Trailrage.
  14. I have a Central trains and a SWT version both run absolutely fine. I do remember reading in the long distant past that there was a possible shape issue, but personally I cant see anything wrong with it and they happen to be two of my favourite models both strangely sounding like the real things! If you need one for your layout (and most people who model the current seen over the last 10 years or so will do) then get one and enjoy it. Cheers Trailrage
  15. Hello DVE1562 So I gather! Just a tad uncalled for by that particular person. Methinks Having just spoke to Leigh at Collet models as he very kindly phoned me again today, I hadn't realised he was a "one man band" at the shop but he was very helpfull and is sending a replacement out to me. Very refreshing to see as he is very passionate about what he does and its most appreciated (for his patience too especially when the battery ran out on my phone mid conversation!) Happy to admit that I got the delivery wrong as the shop is indeed shut on Sunday so my apologies for that and as it turns out my Email went into his SPAM box. This frequently happens with me for some random reason. Maybe the computer just doesn't like me ! Will happily recommend the shop fop further purchases. One very happy Trailrage. CHEERS
  16. Many thanks for contacting me this morning ,I'm just sorry I wasn't there to take your call as I was at work. Apologies if it sounded like I was complaining far from it. I appreciate you taking the time. I also apologise as I must have misunderstood regarding the delivery. Instead of messing around returning the model and refunding postage costs if you could send out a Bachmann 38-345a and cover the standard postage, I am more than happy to pay for the model. Regards Trailrage
  17. MMMMM looks like I a have just been unlucky with my experience with this shop. Ordered a couple of Bachmann FNA's (39-345A & 383-47A on a Sunday morning and paid £6.95 for next day delivery (if ordered before 3pm online) but they didn't turn up until midday Tuesday. Ok I thought never mind so checked the order and was sent 2 of the same Item (38-347A) not what I had ordered even though the despatch note was correct for my order. Ah well we all make mistakes I'll call the shop, and get an answerphone message asking to leave name an number. Still waiting for call back a week later. Tried emailing using the email provided in the despatch email where it says "any queries contact us here" still waiting response a week later. Shame really as there seems to be nothing but positive remarks about this shop which really does have some very good prices but its really put me off any further purchases. Not angry just disappointed at the lack of response I've had. Cheers Trailrage
  18. James that has to be one of the best 47 models I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Truly a work of art. Many thanks Trailrage
  19. SOME NIIIIIIIIIIICE LOOKING MODELS HERE. This could turn out to be a real good thread. Cheers Trailrage
  20. Cannibal Corpse Tomb of the mutilated
  21. Just found out about this. Personally I think it looks good.
  22. Undecided on whether to go for a standard release and give it pre tops number on one side to extend its use or go for the weathered one. suppose it depends on Will it be an "in service" condition or "as withdrawn" ? Either way its going to be a stonkingly good model. Cheers Trailrage
  23. Much obliged Dave. Apollogies if I've stirred up a Hornets nest with that question. The EP sample truly does look incredible and I cant wait to get m grubby little mitts on my 2. If it comes as a separate piece so be it. There probably wont be to many people who has ordered one of these that wouldn't mind fitting the odd detailing part. Keep up the good work Trailrage
  24. No good cant wait anymore NEED IT NOW NOW NOW!!!! Sorry momentary lapse of self control. Havent had this much excitment for a model since the Bachmann 85.
