  1. 313202 runs beside the Tidemills Creek, as it approaches Newhaven Harbour Station, passing Newhaven Marine Station, wedged between the ferry and the bus depot. I like the truck on the ferry ramp. Stoptrans seems an odd name for a freight company. It must mean something different in its country of origin.
  2. A few minutes after seeing this I came across Brettell Road in the current MRJ 257, - "A Black Country industrial evocation in P4" The photos, bar one, have rain streaking across them. I suspect Photoshoppery, unless they are on a transparent screen in front of the layout.
  3. I don't think that the white spots are actually hailstones - just dust on the negative!
  4. These are my photos - I went through a phase of dressing up a lot of my photos with company colours and logos - always appropriately, but possibly in infringement of their trademarks.
  5. Not often used now, but shingle was used extensively at one time. Its rounded shape didn't really hold things in place that well. A fairly recent example was found on the Isle of Wight.
  6. Smaller loco but much the same sort of view, but you now have to model the litter!
  7. SR 313201 EWS 66069 at Day's Aggregates siding Newhaven 21.5.2014
  8. Action packed, untidy and not very well composed - but it responds to the challenge
  9. Snowdon Mountain Railway no3 approaching the crossing point at Clogwyn from the summit station, photographed from an ascending train
  10. Sorry about the fuzzy focus, but I don't like using flash at exhibitions A model of any railway outside Europe and North America - please.
  11. There are a couple of foreign photos in Dad's albums - He travelled across Europe on pilgrimage to Palestine in 1934, but I am not sure whether he took the Crosti contraption.
  12. Not a lot from the family files today. My Grandfather went to carry out electrical installation works in Cairo in 1912-3. We think he took this photo on the way through France. It is of a steam tram in Cherbourg.
  13. I think that this is the only Cornish photo in Dad's albums, but we can do three versions of City of Truro if needed. Oops - no we have another
  14. I am assuming that the french railcars are diesel. This photo and more of the Brighton Toy and Model Museum are in my album here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/79092-dinky-trains-brighton-toy-museum-31-3-2015/ Another museum exhibit would be interesting.
