  1. Yes I guess. I can also understand if they were rarely pictured with wartime restrictions etc in that livery, but i found it relatively easy to find this example from: https://sremg.org.uk/steam/pics/mm_2122.jpg I'm very happy there is more pre-grouping modelling, and I get the attraction with the beautiful LBSCR names (e.g. Verona or Gascony...). I'm just genuinely surprised there's enough market/ people modelling pre-grouping to make 6x LBSCR liveries viable, compared to modeling the 1940s.
  2. Can someone just clear up my understanding of proposed liveries? With so many longed for models being produced, I've got a bit lost. This without the cancelled retailer commissions. I wonder if I've missed an announcement of a retailer commission somewhere... and want to make sure I get my pre-order right/ hold off in hope for second run. Mainland: 2x LBSCR Improved engine green 2x LBSCR Goods green 2x LBSCR Marsh umber 2x SR Black Maunsell lettering 3x BR black (2x early emblem, 1x no emblem) Island 1x each of: SR Bulleid sunshine lettering, BR green and BR black early emblem 1x SR olive green (IWSR exclusive) 1xHartley colliery livery. But the Train Times 2x LBSCR lined black liveries no longer going ahead. And no mainland SR in Bulleid/sunshine Black livery currently proposed from any source?? Many thanks in advance.
  3. I think I'd go for using some kind of magnorail approach, to pull the horse up the hill and then puzzle over a way of uncoupling at the top of the hill. There are some really imaginative uses of it out there on the Web and they cope with inclines well... I've imagined various different dioramas with them but never had the courage to try yet... https://magnorailuk.com/
  4. I thought that was the point of the "Rail Icons" brand so they weren't tied to the national collection any more... Almost prefect for LSWR 563 Queue Hornby decide to expand their so successful "Trains on film" series to being "Trains on Stage" and rush to production the T3 in its starring role in the Railway Children at King's Cross... (they wouldn't need to develop a drive train as it could just be pushed onto set)
  5. Hummm... no longer listed on the Hornby website. Does that mean it's quietly getting dropped??? Given previous delays (3yrs and counting for my H class) it feels unlikely Hornby will remove it just because they don't have an eta yet? My pre-order is still visible as pending in my orders (first pre-order with Hornby direct to lock in the price, given likely price hikes prior to delivery), and it is still listed as a future release on the Oxford Rail website, so fingers crossed still in development
  6. Ahh sorry I missed that they hadn't reintroduced both types...
  7. They appear to have all been re-released by DCC Concepts under their Legacy brand... I was really pleased to see them as they are unparalleled IMHO... https://www.dccconcepts.com/product-category/lamps-lighting-and-signals/station-lamps/
  8. I wonder what tier this "retailer" is? Senior's Express https://www.rmweb.co.uk/topic/177289-seniors-express/
  9. I've now emailed Hornby directly about this "shop" twice, and yet to recieve a response. I know some places don't want to invest in tech but anywhere that only has a mobile number and a Hotmail email address reeks of a scam...
  10. I've been trying to work out from the Bachmann website and the bulleid thread, what the eta on the remaining malachite Bulleid coaches is going to be... however I can't seem to find anything other than the vague detail that they were returned to sender whilst the BR(S) green and Blood and Custard were accepted. Am I correct to infer that other than, they will be here when they get here, I haven't missed an announcement and they're unlikely to arrive before June? Many thanks in advance

Also listed as a photograph to make even harder to track down...
  12. Sorry to piggyback but I was looking at doing similar upgrade having been inspired by this guide from Muz: https://sremg.org.uk/model/lima-sea-to-40t-hop.html However given that his suggestion isn't really feasible:"Cast white metal buffers from ABS (SR Brake Van Buffers) were used to replace the later BR style." Are there any other sources for the correct buffers? Thanks
  13. 2 left. And says that going to be last run due to some components becoming obsolete.
