  1. WH Smith in Trowbridge, Wilts, had 5 on the shelf this afternoon, and still there when I left! :-)
  2. Got dragged into the Sainsburys at Frome earlier this evening. Found one K3 and surprisingly, one CoT still on the shelf, where they stayed as again, I resisted the temptation to open my wallet. :-)
  3. Took a trip down to Poole yesterday. WH Smith had one K3 and ASDA at Holes Bay had 3, together with an SR Schools "Stowe", right at the back of the shelf. Again, I managed to resist temptation, so wallet intact.
  4. Three K3s still on the shelf at WH Smith in the Three Horseshoes Mall in Warminster, Wilts, earlier today.
  5. One CoT on the shelf at the Sainsbury store, Frome, as of 2130 tonight. I resisted the temptation, even though it was the best decorated example I have seen.
  6. ASDA in Frome are out of stock of the Black Five edition, the Sainsburys branch don't have any either, though they still have two Deltics, so perhaps haven't caught up. The Deltics seemed to be a better quality finish to the two I got in ASDA last week, but I resisted the temptation.
  7. Picked up a Black Five from our local Co-op of all places. The only one they had, so it was take it or leave in respect of the quality. Seemed not too bad so I took it (after paying for it, not into five fingered discounts!). Probably a bash into a Wardale 5AT is miles in advance of my current skills, so it will have to wait a bit. :-)
  8. 66710 at Westbury this morning A couple of 66207 arriving, with Sir Nigel Gresley on the right, and 08799 on the left. and the nonchalant driver
  9. Seems to be quite a conference going on in the cab of 70805 at Westbury this morning...

  11. 59001 just arrived at Westbury this afternoon. Loco number corrected , thanks to Glorious NSE
  12. 70805 at Westbury this afternoon. There had been another present earlier, but I was unable to get a shot of them both due to 59201 arriving with a load of JHAs from Merehead.
  13. 66606 at Westbury this afternoon. Further to my post #251 above, here's a close up of 66953 running light through Westbury on the 23rd, almost "arm out the window"
  14. 66953 running through Westbury light engine towards the Mendip quarries, probably Whatley I would guess.
  15. 70804 at Westbury this afternoon, with 66953 running through light engine towards the Mendip quarries, probably Whatley.
  16. 70801 at Westbury this afternoon, with, I think, 70804 in the background.
  17. Thanks for that pic, newbryford. I think it was a combination of the perspective in my pic due to the zoom, and me confusing the A and B ends? i.e comparing the circled area on 803 with the arrowed area on 804 which seemed to be a vertical panel. My bad, as our colonial cousins say.
  18. 79803 (left) and 70804 with 70??? behind at Westbury this afternoon. Is that an open cowling at the roofline behind the cab on 70803?
  19. 70804 at Westbury this morning. The real reason I was there - 44932 arriving with the Cathedrals Express to Cardiff
