  1. These will all be locos that ran locally and could run on my WR layout if backdated. Seems strange that the same lines had Midland LMS GWR BR Standards and various Diesels. May be repainting a few GWR into BR for the same line, got a mogul and a pannier happy to change, the Hall is staying preserved as is the BR 4MT. Will be fun to try anyway.
  2. I have pictures of all 3 possibles so will modify to suit. Also seen quite a few really cheap Midland compound static bodies, I may get one as a trial. I don;t think I can go wrong with Comet chassis and Markit wheels for these.
  3. I have noticed LHD and RHD and tender
  4. OK does anyone know anything about LMS 4-4-0s? I could do with a few, probably 2. Midland Railway 2P, LMS 2P and the compound. The other locos are easy Castle Hall Jubilee and such I can aquire decent models but the 440s hmmm. May be getting a LRM 0-4-4T. I am trying to build a few backdated trains for the fun of it, which means lots of dirty ex MR LMS GWR stuff with the odd other thing.
  5. I used to be able to sit on the scuttle of a Vauxhall Omega to change the cam belt, compared to Vectra fitting of via a small hole it was luxury.
  6. Not too difficult to use thin plastic card and make a good one. AFAIR a panel 9.5mm wide and 2mm high with with 20 thou card on top and sides and bottom against rainstrip.
  7. I am new to these but they are fascinating. Got a list of 2 MR and 1 LMS version. I am trying find models of the above, is it much work to convert a Mainline 2P to the MR version? Thanks Martin
  8. Replica are easier, I have fitted Replica B4 and B5 to various Lima
  9. Did some Limas many years ago and sides not yet fallen off.
  10. Oh and I brass sided mine to improve the looks.
  11. Derby 114 DC Kits did them Conversion kit from Silver Fox Or convert from other models
  12. The DMSL body is too far down the chassis and the TSLB body has sprung up. Next job is placing locating blocks to get the body height correct. Still need to do wipers, curtains, repair TSLB body after it rolled off and split roof joint, more chassis paint, exhausts and some bar couplers.
  13. Why not? Clive and I make our own DMUs. This is 95% complete
  14. Tyseley 116s I do remember staring at the inside end wondering where the gangway was as previously I had only travelled on WR 116s. Definitely prefered 117 118 due to toilets.
  15. In the end I went with a High Level Lorider It can move all three but I still have some pickup tweaking to do.
  16. The sides looked similar to Lima so done well. The DC Kits boxes are too high, may be worth carving off and making from plastic card.
  17. Years ago you knew who the cricketers were. These days they tend to be on the sports roundup of the news. I think they are a great example of the dangers of pay TV. I think F1 will be the next victim. Used to watch most weekends, now not seen one in three I think years.
  18. Those cab roofs look wrong, are they DC Kits?
  19. Another reason as well that the best train in the UK for the traveller is a 40+ year old Diesel train.
  20. My 2003 cars floor gently slopes so water inside would run out when doors were opened. But the electronics, hmm don't fancy trying.
